Hello community!
I recently started my WIP project - TMNT character April O'Neil, in her classic form from the 1987 cartoon.
The background is as follows - the Mugen community has existed for many years, but so far no one has created the sprites of such a colorful character. I decided to tackle this issue for my WIP project TMNT: Tournament Fighters Remake.

Thanks to Ahrimanes and 0megaturb0 for the basic sprites.

Nice, a new April. Hope you manage to mugenized her instead of Mrs. Blaze-ish from TMNT Genesis. This is the April I know.
No breaks! No breaks!

Just my personal preference, but I think her boots would look better if they didn't go all the way up to her knees.  The jumpsuit also looks so tight that it's basically painted-on and she risks ripping a seam everytime she even flexes.  Giving her a little bit more slack would be more toon-accurate and look a little more natural.

Work is stopped.
I am very demoralized by the fact that Russia started a war with Ukraine. And my country, Belarus, was also drawn into the war.
Against the background of news about the killing of civilians, it is impossible to think positively and be creative.

Stay safe. I'm sorry to hear about everything that's going on. Watching the news has been heartbreaking.

So, after the release of a wonderful game TMNT Shredders Revenge, many new sprites became available, including April's sprites.
Initially, they are not suitable for the TMNT:TF, as they have different proportions, but after some redrawing, it became possible to use them in the game. Therefore, the question arose - which of the options for sprites is better to use in the TMNT:TF?

1. initial with "buffed up" April

2. cartoonish with corrected proportions from TMNT Shredders Revenge

I like to approach to re-sizing the SR sprites. They really do seem at home in a traditional fighting game as much as a beat 'em up.

I know I've made the comment before but I think your original April sprite just looks like she's uncomfortable with all her clothes being that tight, heh.

Of course, it's your project, so follow your discretion on that.

Many of her animations in Shredder's Revenge are based on SFA characters, she has Cammy's walking animation and multiple attacks from her as well as Chun-Li and Karin. Why not use them as a base?

I'll go for the first option, those original sprites look fresh and never made before. Now that the sprites are out from TMNT:SR, it's probable there're various April WIPs out there (Ryon is making her actually), so your original version could make the difference ;)

Keep going with the good work :D
