DISCLAIMER : THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO REQUEST CHARACTERS FOR ME TO MAKE, THIS IS JUST A GAME TO SAY WHICH CHARACTERS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN MUGEN.

1 - Kurisu Makise (Steins;Gate)
She is a guest fighter in the obscure 2D fighter Phantom Breaker : Omnia. But no content from this game has been converted to Mugen afaik

2 - Masahiro Sakurai (Real Life)
This one is a bit odd, but in Smash Crusade CMC April Fools Edition 2024, there is a full character based ob Sakurai, so i think it could have a funny and creative moveset

3 - Hello Kitty (Sanrio)
It is very surprising to me that Hello Kitty, one of the most iconic characters out there, does not have a decent Mugen versions, while some of her Sanrio colleagues (especially Cinnamon) have.

4 - Carly Shay (iCarly)
Idk, i just like iCarly and there's already a stage based on the show, so it would be cool to see Carly in

5 - Endou Mamoru (Inazuma Eleven)
Probably in a JUS style, since there is barely any Inazuma Eleven content on Mugen (only that Gojo Masaru character by Hanyu-Maru)

What? But those characters were made multiple times (although Rimuru doesn't have a non-JUS version)

Sounds a bit weird...

1. Sabin Figaro (Final Fantasy VI): KOF-style, with his Blitzes as his specials and super moves. (including a Zanretsuken styled Raging Fist, a Hadouken (MVC) styled Aura Cannon, and of course, a Command Throw in his Suplex/Meteor Strike as his specials, with the more advanced Blitzes being his supers, and Bum Rush/Phantom Rush and Tiger Break being his desperation supers when at low health) Strikes are Edgar, Cyan and Gau.

2. Ashuraman (Kinnikuman): Either a Muscle Fight port or in the style of Descolor's Kinnikuman characters, with the Famicom game's sprites. Obviously, he'll have his Tornado Hell and Ashura Buster (with compatibility to counter most Kinniku Buster users in MUGEN such as Temjin, Kira Daidouji or Sheen Genius), but he'll also have the tag team moves he used with Sunshine in the Dream Tag Arc, such as the Hell's Combination.

3. Luz Noceda (The Owl House): I feel Luz's glyphs could work in a similar vein to Spellcutie, with the glyphs each being assigned to one of her four buttons, with possibilities for glyph combos as EX moves. Of course, she's gotta have Titan Luz as her Desperation Super, and maybe a tag team attack with her awesome girlfriend Amity if someone makes her.

4. Megatron (The Transformers): Yes, I know Omega Supreme has made Megs, but it's just a mere Kung Fu Man spriteswap. Obviously, Megatron can transform for his attacks and use his Energon mace and fusion cannon, but he could also use the various Macguffins he's used over the show as supers or summoning his army as strikers, including Starscream, who can hurt both Megatron's opponent as well as himself. Of course he'll have a special intro with Varia31's Optimus. (Does "One shall stand, one shall fall" ring any bells?)

5. SSJ Vegeta (Dragon Ball Z/Dragon Ball Z2: Super Battle): Specifically, based on CHOUJIN's style using sprites for DBZ2: Super Battle, based on his Android/Cell Saga era. He'll be somewhat of a shotoclone with his beam spam projectiles (Vegeta's Technique), an uppercut and a fire-kick tatsu. His supers will probably be the Big Bang Attack, the Final Flash (aimed downwards in the style of his Final Flash against Cell, complete with a cut-in of it going into space like the show), a super version of Vegeta's Technique and Ultra SSJ, which is a timer-based transformation similar to Colossus's Super Armor that gives him super armor making him unable to flinch, but in exchange, his attacks will be slower and he can't jump or dash. His counter will be his leg in the face grab he used to kill Android 19.

I got 5 for Infinite/R@CE style and OHMSBY style

Infinite Style

1. Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo (All we have is Leonardo. I won't hold my breath that R@CE himself will make the other turtles because he probably retired. He hasn't released a new character since 2020. Maybe... I can see someone else making them. As long as it's not by a certain POTS creator I won't name drop.)

2. Kimberly (I main her and Cammy in SF6. And right now, we don't have any SF6 reps in MUGEN yet. Chuchoryu might beat anyone to that though. I hope not because his sprites aren't that good.)

3. Lili (My main from Tekken. If I knew how to sprite and code I would add inprovements to Chuchoryu's sprites, giving them new attack frames and in-betweens.)

4. Sub-Zero (We have an Infinite/R@CE Scorpion made by 2d4ever/ReiXSeiryu. I am DYING for a Sub-Zero in this style because he's my favorite MK character.)

5. Morrigan Aensland (I know POTS himself and DivineWolf made Morrigan but I'd rather have one in Infinite style with chain combos/air combos that can be toggled in the config file. Those two prefer source accuracy and I won't knock them for that. Darkstalkers itself has chain combos but WHAT'S THE POINT OF EVEN HAVING THEM IF I CAN'T GO FROM LP>MP>HP>Special>Super?!)

OHMSBY Style characters I want:

1. Valentine (Skullgirls)
2. 2B (GBVS Rising)
3. Solange (Blade Strangers)

4. Miriam (I can imagine OHMSBY, Jinny, or Tornillo ripping her model from Bloodstained. Basically, she would be 2.5D like OHMSBY's Smash characters and the latter two's Granblue characters)

5. Riesz (My favorite character from Trials of Mana. Manny Lingle made her three years ago but he doesn't make characters in this style.)

You could pressure people with them by using them as a blockstring, you could get a hard knockdown with them if you do a crouching magic series that would end with a sweep, and probably do some other things I don't really know about. Since you wouldn't be using them in an actual combo you would mainly be trying to use them in different ways or working around the limitation of them not being special/super cancelable. Someone who is probably more familiar with darkstalkers gameplay could probably talk about it better than I could.

Since this post seems very interesting to me, I'm going to say which characters I would like to see in Mugen:

POTS/CVS/INFINITE Style:
-Sonic (There is already a POTS sonic, but it's very bad, so I wish someone would do it better, the infinite/sennou-room style seems like the best to me.)
-Kyo-1 & Kyo-2 (I can easily see these 2 in Jmorphman/KarmaCharmeleon POTS style)
-Saber (Arturia Pendragon/FATE) (We need she in Sennou-Room style, it would seriously be a gem)
-Chameleon (Mortal Kombat) (He Has Great Gameplay Potential, And The Infinite Style Is Right)
OHMSBY Style:
-Goku (It would be very cool to see he in this style of gameplay, not to mention the potential of Astral Finish)
-Vegeta (Same case of Goku)
-Jotaro Kujo (How Jotaro's abilities could be used in this style of gameplay would look very good)
-Dio Brando (Case similar to Jotaro's, except that I would really like to see the Astral Finish)
-Gumball Watterson (Cattigan619 & MGSSJ2's Version has a Lv.3 Which Would Be Simply A Joy to See in OHMSBY Style)
MvC Style:
-Jotaro Kujo (I can't believe there isn't a version of jotaro in MvC1/MvC2 yet)
-Dio Brando (Same case with jotaro)
-Gumball Watterson (I swear he is one of the Cartoon characters that most deserves to be in MvC1/MvC2 style)
-Ronald McDonald (Donald McDonald) (Like Jotaro & Dio, I can't believe it's not in MvC1/MvC2 style, it would be great)
-Colonel (Colonel Sanders) (Same case as Jotaro, Dio and Ronald)
CvS2 Style:
-Goku (The Sprites combine well with the gameplay style, plus Goku's skills and techniques would look great)
-Vegeta (Again, the same case as with Goku)
-Kyo-1 & Kyo-2 (just like in the POTS Style, it practically wouldn't cost much to make them)
-Ronald McDonald (If he is in POTS style, why not in CvS2?)

OK, let's play too ;D
-Gumby, but in real stop motion style a la ClayFighter, not the Paint monstruosity we all know
-Starkiller from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed games
-Meepit from Neopets... yeah, this is strange, but since there's a (fighting) game of this would be great if someone rip those "sprites" (it's flash/ruffle game) and convert it into MUGEN (and no, TSR didn't rip it yet)
-Tintin and/or Captain Haddock from The Adventures of Tintin... but with sprited to be normal chars, not the old sprites they got adapted with limited animation (and Tintin only)
-Grifter from WildStorm/DC, a good sprited one, the only barely decent or made is a spriteswap of MvC3 Chris Redfield sprited for MUGEN, I want to see the real one with proper sprites and moves, no matter if it's from WildCATS, Flashpoint, The Wild Storm, or any DC itineration, at least give me something it isn't a spriteswap, please

While these characters are technically already in Mugen, they aren't represented well.
Bugs Bunny: His current version uses sprites from the SNES games, but don't understand what makes Looney Tunes funny.
Spongebob: The existing versions reference the source cartoon but don't understand good game design.
Homer Simpson: While the popular version of him has good custom artwork, the moveset is incredibly generic with the special moves copied verbatim from a King of Fighters character.
Blossom: The currently existing version was made so long ago that while it has plenty of interesting concepts, it can't be recommended with how much people have learned about game design since.
Freddy Krueger: While a version exists, it is incredibly barebones with blatant template usage.
Hopefully someday I'll be able to make the little puffball on my profile pic.

Decided to bring 5 more characters to the table :

1 - Walter White (Breaking Bad)
Despite all the surge in popularity and the memes revolving the series, no one has done him yet.

2 - Killer Bean (Killer Bean)
Same as Walter White, despite the memes we still haven't got a version of him yet

3 - Nintendo Wii (Nintendo)
Another fighters from Smash CMC April Fools, i think it would be funny to have another console playable

4 - Laura Matsuda (Street Fighter V, 2D version)
While there's a very good 3d version of her, there's no versions of her in 2D (not even a Chuchoryu one)

5 - Ashitaka (Princess Mononoke)
He appears in the Flash game Anime Fighting Jam, so sprites of him exist in a fighting game.

BONUS : Michael Jackson (Real Life)
The only version of his is too source accurate to the Genesis MJ game to my liking. Duel Toys 2 has a full spritesheet that could be used as a fighter.

Also, i have to say that unlike a good part of the community I take it easy in regards to character quality. If it's playable enough, no game-breaking glitches, has enough specials and a least a super.
I don't care even if it's a spriteswap, as long the characters that was used as a base for a spriteswap is already good.

Keep in mind all these characters I would love to see would be in the OHMSBY style.

1 - Peppino (Pizza Tower)
2 - KOS-MOS (Xenosaga) (haloveli)
3 - Optimus Prime (Transformers) (Varia31)
4 - Konata Izumi (Lucky Star)
5 - Pivot Stickman (Stick figure inspired by animations like Xiao Xiao)

Alright, I guess it's my turn now.

1. Caleb (Blood)
I would love to see a Knuckle Fighter port of the character.

2. Warsman (Kinnikuman)
Either a Knuckle Fighter port or a Muscle Fight port would be very nice indeed.

3. Esidisi/ACDC (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
Let's face it, Kars is getting pretty lonely....also because I would also love to see a Knuckle Fighter port of him.

4. Esdeath (Akame ga Kill!)
When it comes to evil, nobody fits the category better than her. (Also I would love it if she uses custom sprites...by that I mean none of that JUS nonsense)

5. Dan Backslide (Looney Tunes)
We needed a better version of this guy, let's be honest.
