Let It Die
This Rogue-Like game iswas rather fun! The base management is fun, scavenging is fun and a good reason to return to previous levels, combat gameplay is fun and I pretty liked this system overall! Even the back and forth between player bases is not only enjoyable, but satisfying in the set up! To be honest, I found only two problems that kept me from saying it's perfect and one MASSIVE GLARING ISSUE that's the reason I'm going to stop playing.
Problem 1: Load Times. Already read the update coming, glad it's gonna be fixed, but it's too late. In game, in that tower, everything is fast and fun and keeps me going! In the HUB, ugh... everything has a load time. 20sec-2minute load times just to talk to the store vendor, or upgrading one weapon, or buying one item, or accessing my bank... Every load time, I've been patient, but that has been an atrocious experience.
Problem 2: I learned rather late that I must go online to upgrade my wallet and get more characters than 3 in my arsenal... which is sad because I had deleted several max characters so I could make new ones. About 2 final bosses in (After The handyman and the grenadier) did I realize this and I wish I was told that earlier.
Why I'm stopping: Inconsistency with Hater spawns. For those not playing this game, "Haters" are NPCs generated by the game based on random players in the world (Your friendslist takes priority on this, apparently). Also, Haters can be created when your character dies on a floor and you revisit that same floor on a different character. Killing the "Hater" of your previous character will give you that character back, minus any money, items and experience they had. It's just that character and their stats.
The problem is, levels of the RNG Haters are not toned for your current character level or even game level WHATSOEVER. You can have a level 5 character on one of the first 10 floors and you'll get some god tier waiting for you. Completely randomly. These aren't "Hunters" where a player can send one of their NPCs at you directly to kill you for free loot, they're completely RNG.
In the case I realized I had enough, I began a new character with a LUCK build so it can accumulate money faster.
Gather Round and I shall tell you a tale!

Death 1: On the very first floor of this character's first time out of his box, a Level 51 Hater spawned in gear I've never seen before with Sniper Rifle, and proceeded to kill me instantly.
Bullshit, so got on another character and retrieved the first one. And all the load times that came with doing that.
Death 2: Started again, gave my guy some armor this time instead of Procure on Site method I had done till now. Another random guy, lvl 52, same set up waiting for me. I threw a poison bomb at him to stun him as well as DoT, barely did any damage, he recovered and I was one shot. Contemplated spending $5 for 10 continues... nope, they've already got $20 from me and this is a gawd damn level 1 character. I ran an old character there again and retrieved that luck character. All these fucking load times...!
Final Straw: This time, I armed my Luck character with an Assualt Rifle and Level 2 Gear for the Level 1 Areas (Which is floors 1-10). I decided to go straight to the third floor and kill the mini boss there. Easily dead, kept moving up. On the next floor, I got the message that a "Hunter" has been sent after me, great! It was a lvl 22 character with swords. Killed him easily, cleared the floor and moved to the next floor. Well, a level 71 Hater was there. New gear. Sniper Rifle. I was two floors away from making it back to an elevator to go back down. Either fight this guy now, or turn around and fight two floor back to get home. While planning how to deal with this, some random normal NPC on the level with a weapon that locks me in place got the drop on me. I had no choice, if I ran, I get shot in the back! So Fight! I the normal NPC, I started shooting the Hater with my assault rifle, which was ignored cause it did piss damage and has no knockback, and the Sniper Hater killed me in one shot.
All the loot, money and experience were gone. I'd have to sit through 10 minutes of loading screens again just to get that level 1 character back... and then what? Another 10 minutes or so buying gear with my dwindling wallet, which was why I made the Luck character in the first place?
Whelp, I had my run with it. I even was willing to spend $20 worth of continues, because this game feels like an Arcade Machine more than F2P.
I'm not pro enough. I'm not Senpai. I just couldn't Get Gewd enough.
I'mma Let It Die.
