Its a common theme revisited on many fictions, but with such a fluid canon that changes constantly one cant expect things said on movies to remain canon on games.I could see them adapting stuff like Udon Ten drawn in Gouken blood after Gouki stormed the dojo, simply due to it looking cool ( and capcom tends to adapt ideas from their canon when that happens) but other stuff like Gouki being Ryu father is more cliche and so less "cool" to adapt.Would rather have Gouki being Gou Hibiki.
Speculation 'bout Gen.Ryu can remember PERHAPS 'cause Gen was the only who gave a decent fight to Gouki. Trying to remember or even, imitates Gen's way could make him victorious. Or perhaps it's too late and I'm sleeping LOL.
[Kira] said, July 06, 2008, 06:15:29 amHe didn't. I think Ken witnessed at least the final blow, though.Ken saw the end of the fight between Gouki and Gouken, not Gen.
[Kira] said, July 06, 2008, 07:43:27 amI'd suggest getting your eyes checked.I'm sorry? Gouki killing Gouken right in front of Ken was a crux of the plot in the Alpha games.Tiamat's Plot Guide, Ken's Section said:Ken did NOT participate in the first Street Fighter 1 tournament. Instead, he went off to fight in the US Martial Arts tournament and became champion, there, as well as met his girlfriend, Eliza. He got back to his master Gouken's dojo just in time to see Gouken get killed by Gouki [Official].It doesn't mention anything about Ken being anywhere near Gouki and Gen's fight.
I said nothing about Gen in my post.I thought we were discussing the fight between Gouki and Gouken so never mind.
Leo037 said, July 05, 2008, 06:27:19 pmRyu's technically not an orphan. Akuma...is...his...father!!! If you ever seen the SFA/Z legends it goes through Akuma's brief history with gouken and Goutetsu before he killed them, it also showed that Akuma [I'll call him that even if its wrong-not caring on specifics] had an intimate relationship with some woman but the day that akuma faced down Goutetsu [akuma and gouken's sensei] is also the day that she gave birth or miscarried, they really didnt show if she had the baby or not. When the SFA/Z anime came out their was this part where Ryu asked Akuma if he had a son or family. Akuma just said something obscure like: "I am alone, cause i dont have the need for people to get in my way"It also makes sense since its common in many stories especially Anime, about the troubled son and the super powered father:StarWars:Darth Vader and Luke Baki The Grappler: Yujiro and BakiTekken: Jinpachi and Heihachi then Heihachi and Kazuya then Kazuya and JinDBZ:Vegeta and Trunks, Goku and GohanNaruto: Minato [the 4th Hokage] and NarutoBleach:Ichi and IchigoOnePiece:Monkey D. Garp [holysh*t you should see him fling a IRON ball the size of a mountain] >Monkey D.Dragon> Monkey D. Luffy and brother-Portgas D. AceDevil May Cry: [THIS!!-IS!!-]Sparda[-aahh!!!]and Dante/VirgilMetalGear: The Big Boss and Solid Snake, and to a lesser extent:Solidus and RaidenRival Schools: [Justice High's Principle and first final boss] Raizo and BatsuSo as far as cliches go [cliches=95% of SF's entire roster], i think its a strong possibility that Gouken took Ryu under his care in order for Akuma to not impose his own world warrior ideology on Ryu's potential power. And as far as all anime cliches go, this is the one commonly used but its only hinted at in the games and the movies. I mean who else happens to have the similiar killing power that another character has but there isnt any known relatioship besides looking like pallete swaps of each other. Ken's gone through the same training as Ryu but Ken's more likely to be a raging demon than Ryu. Ken was only evil when Bison[Tyrant] brainwashed him, but that wasnt Ken's own evil intent.ME TSU...HA DO KEN!!!
No. There's nothing that could let you assume Gouki is Ryu's father. Don't make up bullshit.Quotebut Ken's more likely to be a raging demon than RyuI see you don't even understand what the base concept of the Satsui no Hadou is. No, Ken is definitely not prone to it.
Satsui no hadou isnt like a buff, its just a different power source, putting it in car terms, you get more acceleration, that doesnt mean your top speed is greater.
Ultimately in terms of potential, yes, I guess, but the way Gouki taunts Ryu into giving in to it so they can have a decent match kinda shows you get some extra hp on the spot. i.e. chars max out their "top speed" faster that way... exactly like Star Wars.
If you are willing to kill your opponent, to go through him with your fists, then yes, the fight is gonna be more brutal.Doesnt necessarily means more effective.
...nothing much to say except the super system in SF4 is coollooks like its like alpha.all 3 specials i 1 character.Look at ken. he has his SF EX 3 Specialhttp://youtube.com/watch?v=PhE8y2D5zGk&feature=related
It's not quite the same move as Kuzuryuu Reppa, though. This here starts off like the regular Shinryuuken, then if it connects (close range and anti-air oriented, so), it goes into the combo. Kuzuryuu Reppa starts like Shippuu Jinrai kyaku, it does the kicks and goes forward, then performs the various uppercuts.
