Okay, so I have a criticism that I had from the previous release that I thought was gonna be addressed in this one, but it wasn't: launchers in this game are pretty damn bad. Like, they work fine when you actually hit them, but it seems like in many cases, they're close normals, which means that, during a chain combo, if the enemy is pushed back slightly, even if they were still close enough to be hit by the launcher, the launcher will not happen, because it will be replaced by the regular non-launcher normal. That makes launch- to-air combos for characters like Athena, FF2 Mai and pretty much any character whose launcher is a close normal inconsistent at best and impossible at worst. I think the best idea would be to change those launchers into command normals, like with FF2 Mai, for example, have it be a forward+HP be her launcher, so she can consistently throw that move in the combo and be able to launch when she wants. Another particular complaint I have about FF2 Mai is her Triple Fan super, which not only does too little damage, but also has all three fans cancelled by a regular Hadouken from Ken, which makes no sense, at best, only one fan should go down.
Your right on your observation, but that's the way I wanted the characters launchers to work. I didn't want every character to have the launcher on the same command or every character to have the same level of combo potential. So yes, some characters can do long strings into the launcher while others just need to go for the launcher on the first command. As for Mai's Fan Hyper I will fix that. In the meantime you can fix it yourself by going to state 3201 and changing the projectiles projpriority = 4 to projpriority = 5.
