You could have PM'd him that you going to permaban him if posted one more time, rather than just banning him.
I actually expected that, but like Oz said, you could've warned him that if he were to do it one more time, you would ban him.

The Great and Powerful Oz said, March 16, 2008, 07:23:18 pmNow tell me that that doesn't sound sarcastic.it doesn't?
It's just that many of your posts seem somewhat sarcastic.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyIt hit me as a [USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST] type thing. It really didn't seem like a threat that would actually be upheld. And I'm sure that Speed didn't see it as an actual order. In all lower case it just didn't seem sincere.I'm not saying it wasn't, but I don't think Speed really knew what was coming. An official looking PM probably would have gotten the point across, and may have scared him silent.
Titiln Papintamidos said, March 16, 2008, 07:22:07 pmthe second i notice you're making a set of absolutely pointless posts AGAIN you're gone from the forumI would have to say that this post was easy to miss. I agree with Oz, it didn't seem sincere. I dunno, maybe it was the part about, "the second," but really, I read right over it. It could also be because both of us may still see what speed is doing as a minor offense and didn't think a permaban would be warranted.A PM definitely would have worked, but an unmistakably, in no way shape or form deniable, post here would have done the job just as well (I think/hope).Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyUnless you took this action just to hammer the point in.
Speed was provoked to posting those. I told him to post the first ones, He was just replying to other posts. If anything, I was at fault for those pointless posts.Speed shouldn't of been banned.

Those guys did say something about going to mugen infantry. I'm sure speed will like the random insanity section.SpeedPhantom aka SpeedPoster will be missed......... by someone.
B. Marquis said, March 16, 2008, 08:03:45 pmSpeed was provoked to posting those.Speed is old enough to think, act, and post in a sensible manner....or at least I thought. To make a long story short the guy had more than enough chances to get his act together (how many times did Titiln grant him mercy again?), but he decided to be %110 playful and cheerlead in almost every section in the guild. Not saying that it's wrong to joke and whatnot but, there's a time and a place to make certain posts and Speed hasn't learned that. I know that some of you befriended Speed but....well, friends don't let friends post bullshit. Right-on for the ban, Titiln. It was long overdue.

Titiln and Speed went at each other frequently in the random threads, ergo Speed should have had little doubts whether Titiln might not actually mean to take this chance to vanquish resistance. There was my post to consider as well.Chaos *Beholder of Dreams* said, March 16, 2008, 08:52:51 pmWell i doubt that Sepp would take back what had already happened just becuz of a few ppl complainingBut it's just a click, no problem. Can't recall previous protests against any ban. Happy Easter (and a more extensive PM, to honor all formalities and get the point across) to Speed, may the few days you were banned have been a lesson to you that words have not been able to convey.Remember that it is barely more than a click, and that the procedure can be repeated... but I don't want to hear anything about this matter for the next few days now so don't SHOUT, #shaun ~
