It might be the case that some regular attacks of the larger characters in the Marvel Vs. games take off block damage.  But as far as I know, regular attacks generally don't take off block damage at least in Capcom 2D fighters.  Only specials and supers.

Well, I popped in 3rd Strike, and I must concede that the normals in fact do not do any block damage, so you were right. I prefer my way of the normals doing tiny amounts of block damage (the LPs and LKs do none) so I'm not sure if I will change it. Feel free to change it in your file, if you'd like.

I quite like the block damage as it is. It puts an original spin on a character. Streetfighter 3 for example uses the stun bar, which builds up with every block. This is new and Snake is a tough SOB anyway so it works for me. I'm worried that this character will have an update a week at this rate, lol. From a speed increase to a new face, anything else people? Cigarette mode? Naked Snake pallete?

Seriously though, call him done and move on, this is one damn fine character as it is. Maybe in the future we can look forward to Psycho Mantis, Meryl, Raven and Liquid?

Mortal Kombat includes block damage for all moves as well.

I've only played the last three Mortal Kombat titles and I thought characters only got block damage through weapon attacks and specials.

Well, whatevs.

first off man, u did a 100% excellent job at creating this character on mugen, and yes the character is really great gameplay, dont listen to noobies who will say that u didnt create him and that it looks nothing like him, cause it does and it takes talent to make a character, and until they learn how to make one then they have no idea.

I just downloaded this character today... amazing work!

Fun to play and a great addition to any roster.

One suggestion though... the sound department is a bit lacking in "ouch" factor; every hit seems to use a "light" sound.

So all his moves, bombs, kicks, bullets and all sound like "tap, tap tap", when they should sound more like "tap, crack, SMASH, KABLOOEY!"

Ill be updating my personal version in short order but its a simple enough change that can really improve your character even more.

Well, I just finished playtesting him and, gotta say, I'm pretty impressed. He's not perfect, but such things rarely are.

I love his intros and win poses, and his special moves are all damn good. The character itself seems a little slow and trudgey, especially his LP and LK, and his AI is kinda junk, but overall, he's pretty solid (no pun intended).

Great job.

You know, thanks for the compliments and all, but if I have to hear that he's slow one more time, I'm going to go nuts.

I sped him up once already.

And why, OH WHY, does everyone think he needs to be fast? Solid Snake is not fast. Period. He is stealthy, intuitive, good with weapons, but he's not fast. Look at his attack combos from any of the games. He's no ninja.

Also, his AI is "junk" (not a flattering term) because I don't know how to make AIs. I released an AI patch by LuwiigiMaster. Seek it out.

Duly noted. He's no speedblitzer. It just seems to me he should be a little faster. Not necessarily leaping around the stage at a mile a minute (ala Loganir's Wonder Woman), just, ya know, faster. Like a smidge faster. Smidge is an acceptable term of measurement, right? I dunno...

Anyway, didn't mean to bust yer balls on it. It's a small issue anyway, and I barely know what I'm talking about half the time anyway.
