Backstory

Kitty Akiyama is an 18 year-old student at Senri Private School, a fairly new girls' secondary school in New Hopewell City. Transferring into Senri at 15, Kitty has enjoyed making friends and going on adventures through life with them. However, she's often bullied at school by girls that don't understand her eccentric mannerisms or sense of self. Regardless, she almost always maintains an upbeat and confident attitude, which draws her friends to her. Having been raised from infancy by the Yuki family, Kitty has always regarded their daughter Midori as her sister and closest friend, even though the two rarely see eye-to-eye. That being said, Kitty is mostly oblivious to Midori's envy toward her; she feels as if the two of them are inseparable.
As for fighting, Kitty has no formal training; she knows what she's seen in anime and video games, and has a superb sense of balance and agility from participating in gymnastics since her childhood. With these abilities, combined with her natural athleticism and strength, Kitty can perform many hard-hitting, acrobatic moves.
Upon hearing of the commotion caused by her close friend Rin, who had recently gone missing, Kitty begins searching for her. Shortly after her search begins, she receives a text about a gathering of skill held by Rin herself! Understanding that there may be trouble, Kitty quickly leaves school, straps up her boots, and heads to the rendezvous point, ready to meet her destiny.

NEW Gameplay Synopsis
Kitty is a physically-strong and very mobile fighter that makes up for her lack of defense with powerful moves that come from any angle. With a double-jump and long kicking range, Kitty is a very good footsie player, and can wipe an opponent out very quickly!
Being that Kitty is so air-savvy, she has a very floaty jump and jumps very high into the air. If the opponent isn't careful, she can time her double-jump to fake them out and gain advantage. On the ground, however, her recovery times are very lengthy, causing her to eat tons of damage, which, with her low Defense, spells trouble every time.
It's very difficult to score knockdowns with Kitty, as only her special moves will actually knock the opponent onto the ground. But, on the flipside, she can zip around the screen at 45-degree angles to take down opponents on the ground, as well as in the air! Utilizing her strong air game in conjunction with her footsies is the key to victory.
