(I pray this is the right place)I can not, for my life, create characters for Mugen, but I have wonderfulmive set ideas for characters (such as Haruko from Fooly Cooly).I was wondering if there is anyone(someone relatively good) who would like to collaborate my ideas with their creation skills.
If you don't know how to then learn. Read the files Elecbyte made, look at some tutorials, experiment your coding skills with KFM. Simply asking to "collaborate" with others and not contributing anything other than ideas isn't going get you far around here.
Here's the thread you're looking for: Idea Engineering. If a character is created with any of your ideas, you are entitled to zero credit (i.e. some random user.)
I don't want credit, I just wanna be able to play as some as my favorite characters who have not been made yet!But the problem is, I'm not very artsy, IM not good at making the characters sprites themself
Well then I would suggest going to the request section, but:QuoteDo not ask for content to be created! If what you want doesn't exist, asking others to make it for you is not the way to go - requests like that will be deleted on spot. If you want something done, do it yourself.
Do you think someone would be willing to help me do spritework(or whatever its called) if I do the coding and whatnot?
.....Coders want sprites to make characters. Without collaboration from others, they turn to sprite packs, which contain sprites from their favorite 2d games. They settle for these images to make a character.Spriters either want someone to make a character with their sprites, or they just want others to enjoy watching their sprites.People that do both, just do both of the work themselves or they ask someone else to do some of the work to make it easier on themselves.Miscellaneous people do other things such as voices or things unrelated to the character, such as stages, design(screenpack), production/advertisment, etc.Other people justs ask people to do this stuff *mentioned above* for them (I.E. requesters that request for non-existing material)So if you want to do the coding and some of the sprites, then make some sprites, post some of them in the graphics section and mention that you'd like for someone to help make sprites for a full character(like what Diepod's doing in his thread, except I think he's doing the whole thing solo.)In the meantime, don't worry about anyone else helping. If no one else wants to help then just try to get the thing done on your own.If what you're asking is that will someone make sprites for you to code....if they weren't already doing it, then I doubt it. I'm not sure where you'd ask for this, but I know you'd have to ask some people to make sprites for you...
I think a good idea could be to search if FLCL have some videogame adaptation, preferently in 2D, and then look if there're sprites of it... or find the rom, emulate it and there get the sprites
Hmm... FLCL is my favorite Anime of all time... I could go as far as 3 sprites of a base, but I would definately not make an entire character on a whim.
if you really want it done you need to start learning to sprite yourself. relying on someone else to make your character usually doesnt work and its better to do it yourself anyways. it is hard to sprite especially if you have no art experience but anyone can get decent at it if they put in the time. it just depends if you want the character done enough to put the work in =[
Actually i just posted it on my deviantART account this would be the link.http://that1guyfromtheforum.deviantart.com/art/Haruko-Sheet-220824169 Don't know how to post them here.
