i hope transformed characters aren't separate characters, or at least something like those budokai series where you can customize skills and transformation.

The skill system from Budokai having you pick your preferred transformation was nice, but I also enjoyed Xenoverse's character separation for the Saiyans. You'd have Goku in base, who could go up to SSJ3. Then you'd have SSJ4, God and Blue as separate characters themselves. Now, that's still 4 Gokus, but it's better than having something for every form, and I'd imagine those higher forms you would want to play different than regular Goku. You can probably just give Blue to the base one as well anyways, and maybe forgo SSJG altogether, depending on how much they care to recreate Battle of Gods since Blue took the spotlight.
Maybe for fusion. Sounds more likely they'd handle it through some kind of rage mechanic, it's how the SSJ transformations were handled when they were introduced. Excluding the SSJ God modes.
No Budokai 4/Burst Limit 2?! Sucks... but hopefully Arc System give us something actually good this time.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyi also hope Chi-Chi is a playable character and they don't pull the same shit they did with Extreme Butoden
I was going to point out the lack of flying for her, but I completely overlooked the fact they're back to a 2D plane, such a heavy emphasis on flying might not be needed this game.On the other hand, it reminds me of older 2D DBZ games having stages up in the sky where you just "stand" on thin air, which would be simple enough to implement yet still pretty cool to have.
Hyper DBZ made by Balthazar is one of the best games I've played, it has that old Street Fighter or Marvel vs Capcom feel to it. If this game is running on the same engine has that way of playing lined up the same, could be the most enjoyable DBZ game to date.
Sounds pretty cool. Haven't had much interest in most of the official DBZ games, but since it's ArcSys I'm gonna be keeping an eye on this.
What we want: A varied cast with characters from all different sagas. What we'll get: 80% of the roster made up of saiyans like every other Dragon ball game.
Wow, huge Hyper Dimension flashbacks on the "Majin Buu in the Budokai ring" parts. The first few notes also gave my Final Bout anime opening flashbacks. This feels a lot like the Super Butouden series, now if they can take that further and bring back command motions like the usual qcf, hcf, d,u..."Train" so there will be RPG-ish training stuff then, it seems ?Oh shit, Goku's hair finally actually change shape (while still black) before transforming. I always hated the way Kaiohken (or just flying at high speed) only had the big hair strands floating back but never change shape.
Oh my god, that trailer was awesome.I'm glad they are adding the Super stuff since I saw Golden Frieza so they are definitely will be adding them in since I wasn't so keen on it seeming like it was only just DBZ.
