Hello, I just joined because I had downloaded winMUGEN from the MUGEN Wiki earlier. It was all because a friend of mine referred me to the game (after I watched him play a Naruto-based build) and my liking for fighting games of this style, from Mortal Kombat to One Must Fall.I have downloaded these:Original winMUGEN---nolimit patchesSpecial winMUGEN build from the Wiki... the only link that worked -.-So I unzipped them (the wiki's build into its own folder) and tried all builds... all of them come up with this:Error message: Error registering plugin: looptype=1, plugins/lame.dll. mp3Error reading data/mugen.cfgI have no idea what would be wrong with the cfg file, but as I have only looked at it for a few minutes, I would not have been able to find anything out... there also seems to be something to do with the lame codec... if that is what that is...My operating system is a 32-bit Windows XP Home, if that is necessary.
Special winMUGEN build from the Wiki? Get Mugen herehttp://unofficial-winmugen.jpn.org/ = No Limit Winmugen patchAfter downloading, right click the .zip file and select extract here. The inside of your mugen folder should look like this....In your Mugen.cfg, you should seeplugin = plugins/in_mad.dll, mp3, mp2, mpgin_mad.dll is in your plugins folder.Try Winmugen.exe now.If that doesn't work, try WinMugen Plushttp://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=72678.0I'm also using Windows XP and they work perfectly.
Thanks edit: upon closer viewing, I found a problem in the cfg file of this other build that I was trying to get to work, apparently the person who redid the config file used a period after lame.dll instead of a comma...=\
