tunglashor said, November 16, 2010, 02:20:53 pmIf you save the changes (File menu) then yes. However, before the program first modifies the select.def file it makes a backup (with extension ".vselect.bak"), so you can always use this to undo any changes, if you want. Thanks, then I'll try your tool. It seems very good. I'll leave feedback later.
It works great and takes way less time. Easy for pattern selection when you want to put your fighters into a certain category.
your progress is going great, i like the new additions. id like to make a donation when your project is finally complete as my show of appreciation torwards your efforts for the community. Ill be watching your progress.
Another update:SFF2 now supported I only had the default Mugen screenpacks to test with so please let me know if you encounter any strange/buggy behaviour. In fact, let me know of any screenpacks out there that use SFF2 that you know of; be good to have something more to test with. All the characters I've tried so far have been displayed correctly, so that's encouraging...That's pretty much it I think for this update. Oh, I added an option to the right-click menu to open the character's folder in Windows Explorer, I thought that might be useful.Feedback welcome as always Download heremugenload said, November 18, 2010, 02:30:40 pmyour progress is going great, i like the new additions. id like to make a donation when your project is finally complete as my show of appreciation torwards your efforts for the community. @tunglashorI think people should make donations for your project because I know how much time consuming it is and how much effort and brainstorming it takes, Ive been there Im sure everyone would also want to add some respect, well atleast those that truly appreciate your efforts. But you know, its up to you... Im just saying.Again, thank you for your time and efforts.
Another update I got feedback from people who use more than one copy of Mugen and didn't like the way VSelect used the same configuration for them all. So I've added an option for the program to generate an options file in its local folder and use that in preference to the global one; this means if you place a copy of VSelect in each of your Mugen folders, when you run it it should pick up the config for that version of Mugen (and so open the correct motif etc). Hopefully that's clear... The option is available from the File->Options menu, Advanced tab. That aside, most of the changes in this update are optimisations to try and speed things up a bit (in particular handling of zip files should be significantly faster now). Also, I've added provisional support for the new compression formats added in SFFv2.0.1 (e.g. 32 bit PNG) 8) This is only supported by the Mugen 1.1 alpha which I don't actually have, so obviously I haven't really been able to test it...! Any feedback from alpha testers would be very interesting.I also added a new tab to the character properties dialog for displaying various bits of technical info:Let me know if there's anything you think would be useful to list here, that's not already shown.New version is available here (same link as before). Let me know what you think, any bugs you might find, etc.
great I have been using this tool this days...I got just a "error" that happens with my robo-k' when I choose him to add him on the roster, the program freezes...seems like something about the char, I will see if works with this update(it has only happen twice with the same char)

This is a great tool. But I've got more than 200 chars. I know you said it wasn't going to work, and it didn't. But could you do something to improve that? I would really appreciate it.

I need something more to go on - "it didn't work" isn't much information.
Newest version crashes in my computer too, even though old versions worked fine.It dosen't display any error message, just pops up for half second and then closes.

OK, thanks for the info. I think what I'll do is add some logging, then ask you to try again and send me the log file. Hopefully that will pinpoint where the problem lies. I'll post again once I've uploaded the new version.NiO said, December 09, 2010, 08:53:44 pmrobo-k' was online somewhere, I will check the readme to fins the site, but anyways, I could send you the char I have to see if you found what the problem is, because Robo-kula works fine, and it's the same author, hell even the same day when I download them iirc...I will send it later, I'm out for work nowThanks
i just came across another feature that would be great. could you add a list of unused characters. like if i had 100 characters in the chars folder but used only 50 of them, I need a list showing which characters arent in use.thanks.
