I know how you don't mess with ikemen+add004, but it's already possible using this combination. If k4thos ever finishes that update, its a done deal for the name displays. Because of add004, you can control who you want to switch to, I could have switched back to Ken if I wanted to.

excellent, The aim was to make it possible in M.U.G.E.N. as well for people who dont use ikemen. Thats impressive. It will be possible to have all bars displayed simultaneously like source game. As in redhots thread.........

i simply don´t understand because ikemen looks more evolved than mugen and at the same time it didsn´t replace the mugen engine anyway until now.

the animated portraits
3 vs 3 team
lifebar with score implemented
palette colors selection

all items seems to be great, but ikemen looks don´t please everybody and being used definitively,

You're forgeting about the main feature, netplay, but here are the three main reasons(imo) on why Ikemen is not as popular as mugen.

1. Lack of compatibility
2. more hardware demanding
3. Not as "ready to go".

The updates from K4thos would probably change this, sadly he just dropped the project.

You're forgeting about the main feature, netplay, but here are the three main reasons(imo) on why Ikemen is not as popular as mugen.

Agreed Ash this tag system is proof enough..... Ikemen still doesnt have control over the common1 files yet which is a huge error but  the online is of course revolutionary

Well.. Not really. The tag system isn’t proof of anything. Everything you are trying to do can/has already been possible/done in default versions of ikemen & add004 by default. Mugen or ikemen it’d work the same. I’ve shown the proof. It’s not an ikemen thing, nor is it that it’s incompatible. Add004 isn’t only a tag system, that’s where most go wrong using it. It’s not that it’s buggy, you have to use things with its common1 in mind if you use a lot of var. Uno is only a tag system which is why it’s easier to get by. Ikemen. It’s not dummy proof, anything that isn’t automated isnt as appealing. Not as ready to go, is the lack of preset content made for those who only download. The creator laid most of the groundwork already, just don’t want to discredit that; all you need to do is handle the name dislplay and build a hud around 3v3 etc. Doesn’t matter which code you use if you can solve the main issues which persist in both mugen/ikemen. Looking forward to see what you got.

This video displays the new 3v3 fight system featured in games such as Mvc2 KOF XI KOF 2003 etc.... Its been said for years that the mugen engine couldnt achieve such a thing but its here after two plus years of hard work.... This system is based on UNO SHES tag patch soo credit goes to them I just made compatible for 3v3 game play... Though is possible through any tag system. decided to go up against the jojo chars for AI purposes...... No HUD display in this video as it is still under heavy W.I.P. This is jus at match using the mvc chars to show the 3v3 capability more too come

2-Its possible appear the 3 lifebars? You discovered How to make It?

yea the chars names will be displayed the same as the bars using an explod code really simple. The patch is strictly for KOF and MVC style gameplay not X Tekken

Yes correct it will be a full mvc2 HUD names, ports, icons, assist ok! Also thinking of adding my own little twist

it´s really revolutionary for mugen, i don't know what can be reached more for mugen, but surely it´s a new step to new discoveries.

if someone get to enter inside the mugen coding and find out more features, it'll be a grateful surprise!!!!

Sure is, the system is running really smooth for the most part feels just like source game. Snapback, Alpha counter, triple team only components left......

Just curious if you're going to balance some of the 'god tier' characters.

I noticed Cable's aerial Hyper Viper still releases too fast.

Balancing is key for my game cabes beam has normal frame time and that's rather slow actually. Their will be no snap infinites and all corner infinites will be taken away using the nojugglechecking parameter

That's good to know. Will triangle jumps still be accessible to Storm and Magneto? Or will they be limited to a certain height like way up above so professional level players can't spam it?

Also Sentinel's mouth laser will be kept intact (this one was annoying since its unblockable sometimes in the corner) or replaced with his original XCOTA crouching mouth missile? I missed some of his normals like the rotor foot and its normal standing missiles. Sentinel's flight I believe its a little bit too fast as well. That flight speed of his gives him so much advantage along with his range along with its ability to summon an assist while flying.

Lastly, Anakaris and Blackheart infinites. Not sure how those will be affected by the nojugglechecking parameter.

I don't use add4 at all, I used unoshes system as a base to create my 3v3 tag system

What version and modetype? because there´s 3 I think (K, S and other one), I´ll see if I can work too with that tag system as a base and erase or edit the add004 one

Also Sentinel's mouth laser will be kept intact (this one was annoying since its unblockable sometimes in the corner) or replaced with his original XCOTA crouching mouth missile? I missed some of his normals like the rotor foot and its normal standing missiles. Sentinel's flight I believe its a little bit too fast as well. That flight speed of his gives him so much advantage along with his range along with its ability to summon an assist while flying.

Lastly, Anakaris and Blackheart infinites. Not sure how those will be affected by the nojugglechecking parameter.


Storm and Magneto will have their same jump ability. Sentinel still will have his same stand hard punch and crouch hard punch attacks. I could make his unique normals come out like KOF special normals they were good. Sentinels flight speed is cool cable Cyclops commando team destroys Sentinel anyways. Its easy to punish flight if you can play at high level. Blackheart and Anakaris infinites I'll put a limit on it using a variable

You edited the add004 tag system code?

I don't use add4 at all, I used unoshes system as a base to create my 3v3 tag system

What version and modetype? because there´s 3 I think (K, S and other one), I´ll see if I can work too with that tag system as a base and erase or edit the add004 one


I used type R as my base you can use any system really to start you just need a tagged out state for them to go to when the match is play and a koed state as well

Hello, I currently been updating cable I have perfected his beam control finally it was high difficult to
execute but I was able to match it to the dreamcast ver. The downward ver has an intense curve if you can mash hard enough as well as the top one. Useful for beating your enemy from an air position while their on the ground and also beating projectiles. Redhot I believe you were working on this before. Also combo messages and announcer responds to the beam as well. His HVB areal ver is considered and aircombo when It  hit his in source
