Another update:  Okita is coming along pretty well.  Get-hits and basic movements are now 100% done!  Once attack sprites are done, we are ready for the release..

Another good news is that the next character has been decided... Makimachi Misao!



She will be the first female character for the game.  She will have easy combos, excellent mobility, and many projectiles but with low health and deals low damage.  I must say I can't wait to get this one started.  If you have any ideas for moves, specials, or hypers, let me know.  Thanks!

hurray misao :) did you see what I said about the stuff before I can try to see if I can get her dub for you.

You'll fix chuchoryu ? Sounds like a plan. How about you code him from scratch instead ?

Misao's sprites are being worked on by the talented DanMT.  If anyone has great quality images of Misao that I could possibly use for her hyper portraits, please send them my way and you will be credited. Thanks!

Speedy man, you're doing a fine job with the sprites, she looks really great.

I'm just beginning with her. Her taunt is fully from scratch, my first time doing such thing. So let's see what the time will bring.

VERY slow progress, in fact I'm not spriting as I should.
And spriting is a bitch, even more when you're kinda new at.
Still so much to do but what you guys think?

Thank you man! Unlike the gif above, that animation is done. I'm doing the crouching get hits, after that going to hard get hits.

Sorry for the lack of updates. But here is a concept video for the next character, Makimachi Misao.

Happy belated Lunar New Year to all our fans who celebrate it! Since it is the year of the rooster, here is a video of the Alpha version of Misao vs our favorite Rooster head. Note that Misao sprites are not done yet and moves may change for balance.

Misao will be a zoner type. A lot of her moves will give her nice set ups but she will have low defense and low attack damage.

Nice concept! Lynn and Yuri will be good bases and moveset feels solid. Minor thing - will you add sound for rotating blades? It's kinda noticeable that they doesn't have one when it's expected...

Thanks for the vid, it helps to see where you want to go with the character. Nice work & concept overall !
Considering how other characters have been polished, I personally have not even a doubt about the sounds for the rotating boomerang & blades & projectiles. :)

Hello everyone! Long time no see!

Here is another alpha preview of Misao. There is finally some progress with the sprites although it's a slow progress. More sounds have also been added and still looking to rip some more sound bites from different sources.  Hopefully I will be able to complete her sprites by end of May. Wish me luck!

I like how you already implemented normals with your "model" first. If I understand well, now comes respriting for a full month ?

Thanks! Yes, I'm currently respriting and adding new animations (for intros and victory) as well.  As of now, all standing and jumping normals are done.
