Got through the episodes. I will say that the fighting scenes were very well done so kudos to those top Tekken players with giving feedback on how the characters must perform. Out of all the adaptations, this has the best fights.
If I were to decide between this and the 90s OVA, I would give a slight edge to the OVA because it at least made an attempt to stick with the source instead of being cutesy and adding whatever they feel like. There is no Shin Kamiya, no Miss Miura, and no Tekken City involved in the OVA.
I find it funny that both Kazuya in the OVA and Jin here both used the same attack to end their last battle.
Also why Peru? Didn't the battle took place at an aztec temple or something?

I get they had to stretch out the training montages to fill for time, but they could've used this moment to give us a perspective on the past 2 tournaments leading up to this. I am surprised we have not seen Tekken 2 Jun or the infamous scene of Armor King meeting with King II.
Some characters were just....there. Why Steve? Why Marduk? Why Feng for being the most random? Why MARSHALL Law? Shouldn't it be Forest Law? Made even weirder that Paul claimed he was once his teacher despite being in the same tourney and hasn't even helped him at the last battle with Ogre.
You guys had BRYAN FFS! You could've used him as a way to give Jin a challenge to overcome and whether he needs to kill or not. Even Doctor Bosconivitch was here and you could've have made an arc about Bryan on the loose, stormed into the tournament, and needs to be stopped.
Lei Wulong was one of the main characters in the OVA. He was a .png here.
Xiaoyu is Xiaoyu. If you hate her in Blood Vengence, you will likely hate her here to. I'm convinced they have buried her OG Tekken 3 attire, which only lives as a still image in the OVA, alongside Julia's T3 outfit and Eddy's entire existence. I hate this timeline.
Leory was fine, I guess. I mean if I was gonna add some spice to the cast, I probably would include him. In fact, I would go as far as him being the only one not from Tekken 3 to be involved. Might as well add in Josie or Leo or Bob if you wanna muck up the lore some more.
Paul is like the complete opposite of what he is suppose to be. In the source, he is a loud, arrogant, doofus that brags about his skills and lets his ego get the best of him. I don't want this guy that looks like he hasn't had sleep for days giving me life lessons in a calm demeanor. What are you?
Williams sisters were a waste. OVA has issues but they at least made use for both cause you know, assassins and stuff.
Final Battle with Ogre was too cheesy with the constant flashbacks at every cut. Took away from the drama or lack thereof. At least it was cool seeing Tekken 3 True Ogre, his snake arm that is as everything else is from his Tag 2 incarnation. He never even used his flamethrower. Devil Jin didn't use his laser. Boo.
Overall, seeing a coherent Tekken adapation still remains a pipedream and I am convinced it will never happen.
