Really nice job on this character.  Amazing sprite work and nice ideas!

I'd recommend that you change his face to look more detailed/badass, though I know that would be tons of hardwork. =(

Anyway, here are my changes to his face.  Feel free to use it.

You know, this is a superb creation, and I appreciate the hard work that went into this character, but that little change "Violen Ken" made to the face would change the sprites from looking fan-made, to an almost CvS level of quality. I hope you don't take that the wrong way, because the face is still fine the way it is.

yo, this snake is pretty good. no. what I meant was...TOTALLY AWESOME!!

yeah, I am a fan of him. but the sad thing is...I never played the MGS games but I'm thinking of trying out one

Nice moves.
You should add the combos moves like the game.

One taunt can be he in that box.

I must admit I love the taunt that was created for him but with a few more adjustments he'll be a pretty good character keep it up!!!!!!!!

I have to say, I don't really understand what more I could adjust. I think he's done. I addressed nearly every complaint, even minor ones, in the new update. There will likely be no more updates, unless some drastic change needs to be made or a bug is found.

Also, thanks Laxxe23 for that. I appreciate the interest in the character from everyone, but I even put it right in the ReadMe file: Metal Gear Solid 1 Snake!

There is one issue I've noticed that I haven't seen anyone else mention - If you finish a match with the chokehold, the opponent remains in a standing position. I've tried with several characters and the same result occurs. I don't exactly know what it is about it, but perhaps the kick should have a takedown quality...

This Snake is based from MSG1, and if I remember correctly he didn't had a beard in that game. So stop asking for a beard cause chances are this Snake won't have it.

Was it on purpose to make it difficult for Snake to use his Claymore Mine attack while right in front of his opponent?  I don't know, maybe it's because I'm using a keyboard to play but I can't pull off that move while right in front of Kung Fu Man.  I can't pull off the Hand Grenade attack either while right in front of Kung Fu Man but the Stun Grenade attack works.

Some of his supers don't seem to take off any block damage.  The Genome Army super, however, seems to take off a lot of block damage (well, I think it's a lot).  Speaking of blocking supers, I don't think the grab at the end of the Solid Barrage super should grab a blocking opponent.  That super reminds me of Bison's Psycho Crusher super from CvS1 where he throws you at the end or Alex's Boomerang Raid from SFIII.  For both supers, if you block the whole thing, you don't get grabbed at the end.  Maybe you can edit it so that the last hit before the grab pushes Snake out of grabbing distance?  Also, the MP and HP FAMAS supers don't make contact if too close to the opponent... well, too close to Kung Fu Man, at least.  Maybe you can add a hit for when he whips out the gun?

That's all I could find on your character that may or may not need tweaking.  Whether or not you make any changes, this is still a great character.  Good job.

You know, Sean, you COULD make him have a beard, only just a seperate pallete. He'd still look like MGS1 Snake, but give him a beard on the Start+(pal7 through 12) palletes. The Magic of Color Seperation might help you. I'll use the classic (V 1.0) version as a base:



What I did here was inserting 3 different unrelated colors to Snake, where supposedly his Beard will be. Red signals the Outline of his beard, blue signals the dark shade of the beard, and green signals the lighter shade of the beard. This is kind of a neat trick to fill everyone's tastes, so to speak. There was some Ryo that also used this Technique, I think, as well as POTS' Yuri.
