Just an idea that came to mind tonight; a neat addition to characters designed to be part of a full game.  I don't have the means to follow it through, but I reckon the idea has a bit of merit.

The idea is based off the Expert Training mode found in some of the Street Fighter EX games, or the Trial Challenges from Street Fighter 4; where the objective is to quickly go over the basics of the character's movelist before expanding on to basic combos, important chains and links to remember, more advanced stuff, etc. to show the player the ropes of using that character.  The mode would only be accessible during Training mode, during which on (a) the press of a simple but unlikely command (LP+HK+Start, for instance) or (b) the selection of a hidden Training Dummy character, the Challenge prompt appears somewhere out of the way.  Once the move has been pulled off, the prompt marks the move as completed, and skips ahead to the next one.  Once you're done, or if you get tired of it, pressing the same command as before will turn off the challenges.

There's a lot of leeway in a concept like this; the challenges can be as simple or as complex as you desire, as many as you can be bothered making for each character.  A good number of extras could be implemented; a running counter of how many challenges have been completed, a way to skip certain difficult challenges, etc.
