Those mini portraits are 30% to 33% of the original portrait.Detective1 said, September 18, 2024, 04:51:05 amI wonder where the mini versions of these portraits are I'm trying to make one with adelheid since I can't even find the ps2 version on the internet honestly will probably to make these for someHere's what I got so far with Adelheidupdating, I leave a couple of portraits that seem quite advanced/finished to mekof 2003 - hwoarang (tekken) v1kof 2003 - Zero (Megaman Zero) v3kof 2003 - Zero (Megaman x) v3kof 2003 - verse (kof xiv)kof 2003 - re verse (kof xv) v1kof 2003 - otome=raga (kof xv)
referenceI changed the previous one to be more accurate I had to use a blurry version of the ps2 version then strunk it down to 32 by 30 px
Made one for Elisabeth here is what I have so far, feedback would help a lot I'm a visual learner so showing changes would help me a lot
Not trying to sound like a dick, I promise, but I cannot tell if you are trolling or not but I will act as though you are not.So, what would really help is a side by side comparison to any other portrait that we have posted. The head is very "smooshed" or too flat. you might want to revisit the shape and size of her head.
So I should move the chin and cheek more forward to give a less smoosh look, I wasn't trolling and don't worry I don't mind some harsher feedback from the most experienced person here

Here is what I found from either a sprite data base, I found a bigger version than changed the size and touched up on it or are missing
Here's what I did to improve it and make the face look less squished/compressed and adjusted the hair and head sizeBeforeAfterOrder Select
there have been improvements but she is still got more work to go, keep scratching the face cause its better but still smooshed and because of that she looses some definition to her faces shape.I could be wrong, but at first glance it would seem like her mouth and nose are sitting too high for the style, but that could be as a result of the smooshedness. play around with it a little, you can always save your progress where it is and make drastic changes.
Finally figured how to pretty much get rid of the smooshing face I had to maker her head bigger horizontally then moved most of the head then shaped the face a bit more and added lipstick grateful for any feedback
Very nice, she is on her way to to looking like she belongs in the style, keep up the good work, next thing to focus on a little more is the hair, similar to the smooshed face problem her heir is missing a little volume in the back and more volume in the front.I also would like to state further that this improvement was very big, yes there is still more to do but this one had a lot of meaningful progress.
I hate to do this to you, you are making some really good progress but Vanny had already made a portrait for her many years ago.If you knew this, than great! Part of learning is working on stuff that exists already and comparing your work.if not, that's crazy cause it looked like you based yours off of this one, I hope this does not deflate or slow your progress. If you compare the two we have, it will help illustrate the point I was trying to make because I am struggling to articulate it to you.So you got the volume in a good place, now it comes down to shading and shape of her hair and her jaw line.speaking of the jaw, it has a good shape and is the perfect size to maintain the femininity as larger jawlines are typically a masculine trait which Elizabeth is not.also pray close attention to the eyes and see what she has done to them, Vanny was able to make the eyes larger and fit the style while still looking very sharp and in character by carefully using light to her advantage and using several shades of the skin to form eyelids. To be clear, I don't always agree with Vanny's shading in some places because it can look rushed, but damn she is really good at a ton of styles and picked this one up really... she made some of the best portraits in the style, even before I started on making them. I hope this helps.
No worries I did use the vanny one as a reference to get an understanding of what to do and trying not to have mine look too similar also now that you pointed out the eyelids now I noticed it on others
Ok here's what I did and used a more subtle showing of eyelids since I want Elisabeth to look more serious and focused so I made the eyes 7 pixels
Another improvement, looking better with each post while also looking different than Vanny's.I see several improvements and what stands out the most of course are the eyes and the jawline, both looking distinctively better, to the point that you may not have to revisit them.also something to note is that the face for yours is looking much closer to the source material while still falling in line with the 2003 style.the overall shape of the face is good.still more to go:-Something to look at too is the shading under her hear on her forehead that is under the hair, based on the lighting there.-the hair itself could get some better shaping and more volume so it doesn't look like it is flat against her head as much, you have improved it but it still needs a bit more to go from what I can tell.-the shading on the hair is not bad but could use some more attention.- the shadow under her lips is too large, may want to chip some pixels off the back of it because I am pretty sure her lips are not so huge that it would cause a shadow that large.
Applied all the feedback also made one for orochi shermie tried to make sure I didn't make the same mistakes I did before and it's feedback able
