Your method is not much different from mine, after all I thought you would spend less time to color sprites, however I notice that you spent my own time.
I've got those, and I tried using those, but for pixel art I've always gone back to using the mouse. Just seems to work better for me

The Pen & Tablet are only good when you need to sketch an animation out. The actual Spriting is way easier with just a mouse.
I can't imagine drawing such detailed sprites with a mouse.Then again, I can't draw with a pen anyway, so the point is moot. :x

I like how Balthazar specifically says in that Goku Black pixel art video that he's not making a Goku Black character and that he just likes to do single sprites sometimes... and then a whole bunch of the comments are talking about Balthazar making a Goku Black character.I also like the ones who talk about Goku Black being a recolour or like Evil Ryu. Nevermind that he has different clothes and barely uses Goku's moves.

I don't really do the rotating/shifting/resizing step. I draw "stick figures" with a thicker brush and then trace over top of that for my outlines.
