Cybaster said, June 04, 2010, 10:53:09 pmA huge thanks to Orochi Gill, who kindly accepted to make a video of Batman's current beta. All the moves are shown in this video, I hope you'll like it. VIDEO :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP9Aroei54kDoes he have any standing attacks? Let someone that knows how to play fighting games test him.

Let someone that knows how to play fighting games test him.Except I made the video for Cybaster, not you.So you're saying I should just use standing attacks against something that fights back and requires you to change tactics for what it's doing?
No, I'm saying you should try using a variety of attacks. You didn't use any standing normals in that entire video. In fact, that seems to be the case in all of your videos.
Give me one reason to actually care about your opinions.and btw, JUS chars aren't real fighters either.
looking solid, smooth gameplay. supers are nice. One thing, during his comic flick style super(which looks great)... the sounds, especially the final sound, needs more oomph. To me it sounded like you ko'd p2 on a jab
Orochi Gill said, June 05, 2010, 02:55:37 amGive me one reason to actually care about your opinions.Because it's a (bad) showcase of this potentially awesome character. It should show a decent amount of moves. Not just crouching attacks.
CM Punk said, June 05, 2010, 01:17:52 amDoes he have any standing attacks? Let someone that knows how to play fighting games test him.Agreed. This was a pretty poor demo vid. Orochi Gill said, June 05, 2010, 01:12:27 amShamrock said, June 05, 2010, 01:09:35 amI was hoping to see some throws on that vid lol. Dunno if he has any actually.A little more research and playing of the character should have been done before any recording, so we can see all that has been implemented so far. Also, using a stage with foreground obstructions, even at just foot-level, was kinda dumb.Anyway, from what was there...I agree that the standing anim looks weird. I know it's the original anim from the flash game but is there anything else that could be done to smooth out the jerkiness? Also, his cape doesn't move while the rest of his body does.Could his running be a little faster? Just slightly, because everything else is really fast and high-energy and the running doesn't seem to match up. The voice does sound weird. He sounds like the pimp, or Barry White version of Batman.Otherwise everything else is cool as shit especially the swarm-of-bats winpose.
Well then, if you think you can do better, than do it. No, I didn't use the typical bad creator response, I'm just deciding not to sit here and listen to you whine about a demo video that the person making the char liked. I'm not passing the beta to you either.Like I said, the video wasn't for you, I couldn't give a shit if you two like it or not. Cybaster liked it, the people who aren't mindless liked it, what reason do I have to care about what you think, especially given your mindsets to this moment?

To me it sounded like you ko'd p2 on a jab +1I recommend Evil Ryus [ Reu ] Shin Shoryu sound for a last hit [ or for all hits ], and if the move finishes the opponent, use the SGS finisher sound, for an intense feeling, some slowmo and fading might be good for the entire move too
great videomy favorite batman gadget is the grapling hook, i hope see it more in final produtc.2 thigs i didnt liked:- stance to walk transiton, but it can be youtube issue- no cape movement at stance, look like a door behind him
char looks good, loved the comic strip like hyper near the end. though i agree with zvitor, about the cape looking weird in the stance.however, i do not like the voices at all, sounds like ron perlman (actor who played hellboy) to me and it does fit.
zvitor said, June 05, 2010, 03:41:23 am- no cape movement at stance, look like a door behind himI do agree with this.It looks nice. The victory...pose or whatever it's called, where he disappears when a bunch of bats fly around.Really, Batman shouldn't fade away. There should be a second of black screen, then the rest of the bats go off screen, and Batman disappears. And from what I could gather from the video, the bats abruptly disappear, or that could be the video itself ending too early. You could rip random voice clips from the older Batman movies. (AKA Batman Forever, or The Batman, That one movie with George Cloony and Arnold Schwarzenegger.)The actors do seem to sound alike.
Orochi Gill said, June 05, 2010, 03:27:49 amWell then, if you think you can do better, than do it.'k.I guess it's time to take Bats off the crouch position, then.
