mugen 1.0 and onwards got forcenofall which can be added to hitdefs, but at the same time it doesn't stop characters from attacking while air recovering since 5040 is considered an idle state.

also, one of the funny things that were discussed ad infinitum is ground friction, I will go on this by memory:

kof ground friction is around .82 , mugen's default is .85 , to make matters worse capcom's friction is also .85 (though only checked in vs series). the friction I am talking about is the constant, which is the one used when you get hit,so, if your kof character has got accurate hitvels, but p2 has got .85 as fricitno some combos won't work properly as p2 will slide too far.

So, some guys were all for putting p2 in custom states so friction is applyed properly, others just put the accurate hitvel and left the blame on p2 to get a proper friction value and the others changed the accurate hitvel for something that worked better in .85 friction.
