Spoiler: This death battle (click to see content)
They really, really should stop using the mini-games as feats. Regardless, it's not the way I would have proposed the fight turn out but yeah, of course Sub-Zero wins.
Oh cool, #18. A favorite of mine. And a DBZ character. Can't wait to see her get downplayed, or else see them go up against contradicting their previous statements. Not as fast as light and weaker than Frieza, thus not nearly planetary level are my initial guesses.
Spoiler: Theories on the next one (click to see content)
As I stated in the last spoiler, I expect Screw Attack to not be putting #18 at this range. I suspect Carol will be winning. But I feel like getting this out of the way now before all that happens, see where the previews go from there.
So, some general knowledge on #18 and less on Carol but did some googling. #18 only comes in as herself, but Carol has multiple forms; Captain Marvel and Binary. Binary's power levels seem to be above 18 in general, minus speed, but it's a moot point as she no longer has access to said powers, just a much smaller scale replica. So as Captain Marvel, Carol's top speed is 6 times the speed of sound. Dragon Ball's universe in general surpassed light speed (And physics in that they could hold conversation despite moving faster than sound, but hey) way in the beginning in actual Dragon Ball before Z. I don't know how many multiplier we've surpassed since then, just some general comparisons to be made. Goku first appearing to Frieza on Namek before Frieza killed Vegeta traveled around a slightly larger than Earth-sized planet Namek from the other side of it in one step/jump nearly instantaneously. From there we times that by 10 with Super Saiyan. 18's somewhere above that at her weakest, making child's play of SSJ Vegeta.
Power-wise, Carol is stated to be nuclear bomb level, and can punch at a level equivalent of 92-tons, which she can also lift. #18, well, power levels in DBZ raise nearly all of one's stats as they go higher, but not seemingly at equal levels for physical vs non-physical. We haven't seen anyone punch a planet apart until the Battle of Gods movie, and it was a dense moon at best as SSJ3 level, way beyond #18's abilities. Yet at a much smaller scale, Roshi blew up Earth's Moon with a blast. Dragon Ball's power levels are notoriously unhelpful and all over the place, but at the very least, Frieza is hundreds of thousands times stronger than that, with Goku and Vegeta above that and then #18 again above that, at her weakest.
Special skill wise, #18's got Krillin's Destructo Disc, which outside filler should be able to cut through any and everything. But Carol has power absorption. My guess at best, Carol will absorb enough of 18's blasts to trigger a reversion into Binary, but when going against the Destructo Disc she'll expect to be able to absorb it just the same, to no avail and being cut in half.
So...yeah. While I admit to being underprepared to vouch for Captain Marvel's behalf, I gotta say 18 has this waaaaaay in the bag. But this is Death Battle, and their stats pertaining to Dragon Ball do not match so oh well. Since Goku and Buu's matches we've had a number of episodes of Super, among which provided something I thought should be impossible but retcons ahoy, 17 and 18 can train to get stronger and have done so, if less-so for 18 than 17 due to having a family.
