What do you mean? I bet you must have an example or something to back that up, because so far all I've seen SNK do is integrate all of their franchises, and update their character designs according to the gameplot. *rolls eyes*
Well, SNK had some good designs prior to being bankrupt, but I mean after they came back, they've had alot of lame designs since then, with only a few decent new ones. I mean... Ash Crimson... ugh... Malin...Mukai, Shion, Magaki... blah. Don't even get me started on the Meira Bros, or the rest of the characters Falcoon designed, and the alternate costumes... thats not to say OG SNK didn't have any bad designs either, like Bao. Hell, I actually honestly hated Kyo Kusanagi's design throughout KOF94-98, I hated the whole school boy look. Kyo got slightly cooler for me in 99 and up, but I think his newest design in 2k3 is the best because he looks more casual and like a roadie. Hell, I still hate Iori Yagami, but only because of that emo visual kei we are dumb fucks spamming this site for ten yearsry look, and his new outfit in KOFXII is not winning him any points either.SNK's design team has seen better days. I mean, I saw some of the new character designs SNK didn't even use for KOFXII, and they were ugly. SNK's best bet these days is integrating older characters into their new games, because they are usually way cooler than the newer characters they make (Like Raiden and Mature). I also think thats one of SNK's major problems, they keep making more and more new characters, hardly give the oldies enough love or enough development, unless they were a very prominent character.Capcom too though... I mean god... Remy... uragh... and all the damn guys in a karate gi. Then complete freaks like Oro, Q, Twelve, and Necro, and guys in underwear like Urien (he gets points for having neat gameplay though) and Gill (I hate characters with god complexes)... blah. I can take a chick in a karate gi like Makoto because she has some cool and unique moves, but I like manly designs, like Alex, or downright hawt ones like Elena (Need more dark skinned chicks!).
Ya know, speaking of feet, why did Capcom not give Elena's sprite any toes... I don't have a foot fetish or anything, I can appreciate a good looking foot, but it looks messed up not having any. Reminds me of some kind of anime where the characters are drawn all super deformed and have flat toeless feet.

They had 3 installments of SF3 to draw a few pixels on her foot. If SNK and their tiny development team can edit Athena's clothes in every installment, and redo Robert every few games, drawing a couple pixels on a pair of feet should be a cake walk.Oh well, at someone did the job for Capcom with a Mugen sff patch.Also I think T.Hawk is an awesome design. So what if he's a sterotype, he's a BADASS fukken sterotype, with some killer moves to boot. Gotta love that choke slam.

Not only Dhalsim. Look at Vega for example - omg evil dictators all have a look based on a military uniform with Nazi-ish symbols or skulls, what a surprise. They're evil dictators, what do you expect them to wear, a suit, a clown costume ? Military uniform for the dictator aspect, death symbols for the evil aspect. And in fact, Vega is probably the one with the most originality in his dictator costume : who else has metallic shoulder pads & knee protections ? Nobody, that's who. No, those comparison are retarded, they don't get the whole point of a stereotype.
OMG! They ripped of many characters... Flipping heck! That guile is a 100% ripoff and so is M.Bison.They really aren't original. Even KOF is more original than that.But, I still like SF either way. T Hawk looks awesome so stop talking crap.
