Here's my attempt at color separation for Fervicante's Hinata Wakaba:
I was browsing through Hinata's SFF when I noticed that while Li_kun's sprite work is... enjoyable, the palettes are rather simple and don't allow for much fancy coloring. So with not much else to do at the time, I made the above image in a few hours. I think I did an okay job.
But those 5 sprites will probably be all that I'll do. As much as I would like to see that applied to all her sprites, my current interests are elsewhere so I feel I'm not up to the task of doing all of the sprites. If someone else is though, then feel free to use this as a base; all the palette data is already in the image itself. Don't forget that there's also Batsu and Ran to consider, but I think there should still be enough free slots to use for their colors.
It was fun, but I must go back to other thing now.
Edit: I updated the above image to fix a little spot I missed, and also made the glove outline another separate color.
Here also is an example of what fancy colors you can now make with this:

Mai Kawasumi waited. The lights above her blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the school. She didn't see them, but had expected them for hours. Her warnings to Yuichi Aizawa were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway.
Mai was a swordsmaiden for ten years. When she was young she played with Yuichi and she said to Yuichi "There are demons coming."
Yuichi said "No! There ARE NOT ANY DEMONS."
There was a time that he believed that. Then as he got oldered he never stopped. But now in the school of the snowy town he was fighting the demons.
"This is Yuichi" his voice crackered. "You must fight the demons."
So Mai gotted her sowrd and smashed the wall.
"SHE GOING TO KILL US" said the demons
"I will attack at her" said the demon and he launched across the floor. Mai sworded at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the demons" she shouted
Yuichi said "No, Mai. You are the demons"
And then Mai was a bunny.
