Ok, so I used animget to get frames of a flash video.  Then I used irfanview to crop, resize, and save as pcx files.  Bu the files are RGB and not indexed colors.  Can I use irfanview, photoshop, or something else to quickly batch convert to indexed colors?

Photoshop will let you index the sprites and dependant on version, run a script to do it for all of them. The older version of FF also has a method of batch applying palettes.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

batch them to pcx with irfanview, then apply a pallet to them with the old version of fighter factory.

Fantôboy

Can I do that if they don't share a palette? It's a video.

Luis Alejandro

nope  :-\ if you do the colors with get fucked up.

Cyanide

You'd still need the script function in PS. Just have them all reduce colour depth/indexed. That'll be enough.

Video's in mugen are horrible though. Colour loss, huge file size, and people just skip them.
