According to the KOF canon, and the fact that the story is at a standstill right now for the time being, name things you're curious about your favorite KOF chara living in South Town.

So, Geese is supposedly dead no matter what, so Billy, his bodyguard must be without a job, or at his native England right now. If the KOF storyline is finally kinda catching up with MOTW, Andy and Mai must be training new Shiranui Ninjas, like Hokutomaru.

Last we saw, Kim Kaphwan's kids, Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon, must be in their early teens, training them in Taekwondo. Speaking of Dojos, the Sakazakis must be training students at theirs, but not having enough new students and barely getting by with what they make off it :P

On the other side of Town, Alba Meira is kinda still the boss of the ruling gang in South Town since he defeated Duke, but still must be looking for Soiree. And the other gangs related Kusiel, Addes and Mephistopheles must still be at it in the shadows, expecting for their time to rise.

I really wonder if Kim died or only got beated up by Freeman.

Byakko

He's right there in Kim's winpose and there's nothing that I can recall that says he died. Where did this idea even start ?
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

TempesT

It was hinted at in one of Jae Hoon's win quotes. But that's where the confusion comes from, because it's not clear what exactly happened to him.

Street fighting is all about analysis, prediction, and reaction. That's it.

Byakko

From what I remember it's always been about revenge for beating him. I can guess which word was used in Japanese and it's true it can imply getting killed (something comparable to an ambiguous "he took him down"), but if he had indeed really meant Freeman killed his father I'm pretty sure he would have said it otherwise. Still, he's there in Jaehoon's winpose, I can't see what else one would need...

at the point of the last kof game (XI), kof universe geese is alive and still ruling south town, ryo is still not the head of the kyokugenryu dojo since his father is alive and MI is not canon.

fatal fury/art of fighting universe has kain ruling over southtown with rock currently joining him for the sake of finding his mother and ryo is mr.karate.

trying to join the kof, ff/aof and mi universe results in clusterfuck plotholes, and the southtowns are not even the same since the kof one has the second southtown due to the destruction of the original one in kof 2000.

Southtown really got destroyed after 2000? I though it only happens as a bad ending for edit teams, as Cannon Zero hits Zero, not the town in any other ending. ???

Oh, I see, my bad, in both main teams it does looks damaged.

K.O.D

Yeah it got destroyed, every team ending shows it

scratch that, it seems it changes with every team ending, and the true ending (hero team) shows the zero cannon getting defused and the city safe (although it is damaged by the falling zero cannon)

benimaru team shows it destroyed, edit team shows it destroyed, art of fighting team shows takuma deflecting the beam with a haohshokoken (lol), etc.

Bastard Mami

Do not use the team endings as canon guides, use the team intros that are on the official site.

about kof Mi, that one was supossed to fit in the aof/ff canon instead of the classic kof one.

Thedge

Yeah, endings are what if's.

So in the FF/AOF/MI Geese is dead since Real Bout.
In the KOF timeline, Geese is alive as seen in KOF96/97 and before that there no hints about him being dead, just the cameo of Rock on Terry's intro/winpose.
IIRC MOTW mentions that they are living in Second South Town, so, zero cannon did happen even in AOF/FF/MI timeline.
That's when I thought, "good grief"
Just ain't my belief

K.O.D

geese is shown alive in kof 2k3 as well.

Bastard Mami

yeah, IIRC he even has dialogs with billy regarding the outlaw team.

This this Shinkiro illustration where the central character is supposed to be Geese as a younger man:

Is the nun in the background his mother? Why else would a nun be there?...

Consider Geese was conceived in 1952, not that long after World War II, and that his father is the same as Krauser's, german nobility.

So, if that's his mother, Geese came to be because somehow while WWII was fresh on everyone's minds a german hotshot managed to bag a nun. No wonder he grew up to be a villain - little reason to respect traditional notions of virtue and nobility.

That seduction process should be the way to start a KoF movie...

I remember reading somewhere that Second Southtown is a neighboring city to Southtown. I have no idea if it's true or not.
It would probably cause a lot of confusion if there were two cities both named Southtown next to each other...

I haven't played MoTW in a while, but I don't remember anyone popping up (besides his girlfriend) in Jae Hoon's winposes...

In MotW you can see a map of Second South, and to the west you can see a bit of the peninsula where Geese Tower is, which is to the easternmost side of Southtown.

It's Dong Hwan's winpose. Anytime he wins with a DM during the last round.

I always thought that was Jae Hoon...

Nero D.

Nope. Dong Hwan. When Dong Hwan finishes with a DM, he starts bragging, Kim drops from the sky behind him and yells "Amai!"

He means he thought that was Jae Hoon in Dong's winpose. (actually what I always thought too but..)

Context clues, reading his previous posts, etc.

Ohh my bad ;D. I always figured it was Kaphwan because his voice is deeper than Jae Hoon's, that's all.
