i wont buy just a improved vf 5.

No it's not it has new characters new stages and 10 times as more costumes than Tekken 6 and Soul Caliber 4 combined!

Keku

You forgot to mention that it's a complete overhaul.
Who cares about costumes?

People must be afraid of going outside because they'd pay for downloads sooner than a new disc. Same thing happened with SF4.
You can help with Ikemen GO's development by trying out the latest development build and reporting any bugs on GitHub.
My Mugen and Ikemen content can also be found here.

I live next to a game store, so 15 minute walk and I get a new game/piece of equipment. : D

GalFord

After playing it in Tokyo last year, there's no way that it could be DLC.  But of course, people will bitch and moan about it.

Shwa, you know there's no real mainstream appeal in VF and this is a lost cause unless Sega gets MAD HYPE.

They barely show any care for their newer good games like Yakuza 3 and Resonance of Fate (both of which come out on the same date as Final Fantasy XIII by the way), what chance does Virtua Fighter have?

Great Leader Kevin Rudd

It's a shame really, coz VF5 is one of the best fighters out there.

Thinking negatively like that doesn't help. If they managed to get a 100-page document, a 500-page document can be possible.
The fact that we have a chance at it means enough.

I just spent a hour and a half writing a huge tl;dr post about my history and experiences with Virtua Fighter.

i bought  VF 4 bacjk then..and a year later vf 4 evo. for 2 new characters...some more moves..changed stages and the single player arcadething.

this time..i know it better and just dont care anymore about small improvements.

I would probably buy VF5R, especially if they didn't fuck over the PS3 version with no online.  But I'm not exactly clamoring for it.

I've always had a love/hate relationship with VF.  I'll concede it's a very technical game that one can devote years to mastering, but the problem I have with it is it's presented as an old game.  Legacy animations, poorly mastered sfx, terrible voice acting... it's like I'm playing something from ten years ago.  It still feels like a game from the early 90s, and only a select group of people dig that.  Itagaki jokes that Tekken is the same game released over and over; that's how I see VF.  I think it's a shame that they put so much effort into fine tuning the gameplay, and going to town on the graphics, and they seem to make no effort to modernize the rest of it.

Once Itagaki puts more depth into his fighting engine, and less into boob physics, then his words will hold weight.

Oh wait....... he can't :laugh4:

Funny how Itagaki jokes about Tekken being the same thing over and over again, when the DOA games have been just that, but with even more jiggling after every installment.

That, and DOA being a VF ripoff since the beginning doesn't help Itagaki's claim. :U

hehe now you will laugh or think..omg what a nonsense.

but...tekken...doa and virtua fighter have all in common that they bring not much innovation with each new game.

the tekken series might be the one with the most innovation from sequel to sequel.
doa and virtua fighter...just more of everything with each title. more characters, move moves, a few more general moves

but..and now it comes.  the one series which tried...at least tried to make different titles is the ...Mortal Kombat series since MK4. I m not saying that this means the MK series was good or even better as the three other series. but at least you know that you just dont get the same game with more of everything if you buy a new part.
