Dragon Override 竜のオーバーライ1280x720 new pics of title screen and lifebars

This is a screen grab of Dragon Override's start screen, I was messing with transparency and managed to make a sort of animated glowing text highlight effect (I'm sure nothing new just a mask with a scrolling sprite beneath of flames) which I quite liked. Hopefully I'll get a little more time to mess with this over the next week, and I'll have a early beta test release of the screenpack out for ppl to comment on.

The aim of the project is not only to produce a cohesive original interface (screenpack), but  to also produce a character template that will allow character makers to follow a set format when making/editing chars for the game release. Dragon Overide basically is trying to achieve a retroish Japanese fighter style aesthetic that at its core focuses heavily on character balance. The screenpack is optimised for 1280x720 while trying not to look over res'd compared to many of the existing characters out there.

thanks there's a lot still to do on the graphical style, but I was quite pleased my self how this turned out.

Been workin on a bit more stuff to get my head around Mugen's insides. Basically I've edited nono girls cvs pro lifebars a little in the fight.def to make them run at a 1280x720 res, just to help me understand how the fight interface is put together really. Here's a few pics of the project so far. ( I'm not even sure where i can get hold of nono girl tbh sorry if I offend with this.) Thanks to every one who put the chars used in the screenies up for dl.

New HD Evil Ryu sprite edit I've been working on (sf2hd turbo's Ryu, Akuma and Ken as a base) as I get more time over the next few weeks I'll keep adding frames until I'm ready to lace him up into a working char (speaking of which I welcome any experienced character coders to help me with this ^^)

Thanks dude , I found that thread for the rips yesterday gonna be using them from now on its a pain though sorting out all the junk dat's from the images . Great you made me re-read the thread properly  grabed the pre ripped sprites from _kronos_

Thanks, I was thinking that I may go for a clearer set of lower case letters to keep the style but make it easy to read at the same time. Photobucket resized the image though so its a bit clearer in game at 1280x720

That artwork was done by "Range" Renji Murata, the artist for the Power Instinct games since the first game. That particular artwork is also from the KOF Neowave game.

thanks for the info , if its SNK's own then its free game for a screenpack, didn't really want to use fan art.
