Honestly, I like the private reports a bit better. It saves a lot of useless, stupid drama from people going "we are dumb fucks spamming this site for ten years WHY DID YOU REPORT ME!?" I think the public staff is good enough for transparency at this point, imo. Also don't bother reporting signatures that have a non embedded spoiler tag because it should be working again soon.

Signature size limit rule should also be revised seeing as quotes take up a substantially larger amount of space now, unless you plan on changing that as well. Keep up the good work.

Maybe if it showed a red message icon next to it or something when reports are open. It also needs to be less clunky and stratified. I don't know, I never really liked it. The privacy thing is kind of better in my opinion.

Overall, methinks the old report system is better, but only in it's visual aspects and accessibility.

Reports that are not solved are flagged as active, when they're closed they're sent to Old Reports I believe. This sort of worries me since there was always some wiener who forgot to click solve on the previous reports board. Also the ignore option for nitpicky reports is a nice, albeit going to be rarely used, function.

Old reports was better. Plus it showed users what not to do. As in it gave an example. For instance, you got a big freaking sig and someone reports you, you see that you were reported in that area and you self mod your sig.

It works for most circumstances.

I liked the transparency for users as well, and I kinda don't see the point of the extra commenting interface when the forum has perfectly good topic/post structure?

Hmmm, I disagree, oversized sig offenders usually get it removed and (should be) PMed or notified in the sig space by the moderator that did it. They have about the same chance of reading a report that they do of reading the rules (i.e. never), I don't think this means more work for us in the long run, it's just a little less whining and complaining and no more conversations in the reports board = less spam = people take the rules a bit more seriously.

Also noticed that it notifies you how many active reports there are on the forum index undearneath "Show New Replies" link.
