Ono wants to make in Nintendo X Capcom

Capcom's Yoshinori Ono has confirmed interest in a Nintendo x Capcom fighter. At the Nintendo 3DS conference in Amsterdam yesterday, Cubed3 attended Ono-san's roundtable session and managed to ask the key question: "Considering you are trying to make Street Fighter IV 3DS accessible to a wider audience, did you ever think about including Nintendo characters to broaden the appeal?"

Rather than brushing the question off completely, instead Ono-san reacted very positively, saying he would like to make a Nintendo x Capcom fighting game and that the idea should be pitched to Nintendo of Japan and Masahiro Sakurai.

Would you like to see Nintendo x Capcom become a reality?

Given his specific mention of Sakurai, I would assume he's thinking of a Smash Bros. style game.  Which, honestly, doesn't sound half bad to me.

The only problem I have with this is that Nintendo online is terrible and it would have to be on one of their consoles.  Other than that, sounds fun.

Tekken and SF, MvC3, Nintendo x Capcom, looks like any plans of MK vs SF will never be announced 
Still i'd rather the game be Capcom style fighting...if it ever sees the light of day
Yeah Nintendo's online is garbage, but TvC was decent online, who knows, add servers and it could work

how would it work? would it make sense? I don't care if they make it or not but I just think it won't appeal to fans...

Scratch that, I don't mind if it happens just if it's done right and if it's not smash brothers like then it "might" be worth looking into.

I like a lot the idea... Nintendo doesn't live of Mario license only, it has a lot of other great sagas and games that aren't for kids only

Also, think about it: Link (Legend of Zelda) vs Ryu (Breath of Fire) would be an awesome duel... and if Ono and Niitsuma are in it... oh wow

I never did understand why Capcom likes to pretend this series doesn't exist. I keep thinking that Breath of Fire characters would be quite awesome in any kind of fighting or crossover game, but every time they just skip right over it. It's really not fair.
