I don't know if here is the right place to make this question, but it's somewhat related to mugen xD

I'm trying to rip some stuffs from ps2's kof, but the emulator here is always blurred, and I don't know how to fix it. I already change the gps settings, but the blur doesn't go away .-.

in the kof 2002  UM rips that I did I used a japanese software that extracts the images right from the iso, but it doesn't extract everything, just character sprites, and just from kof 2002 um, so I'm really needing a little help .-.

and sorry if here is'nt the right section o/

Riptide

could you rip from a screen cap or would it still be blury?

Sam

I don't know, but if I record it from my emulator it will be blurred

Riptide

I'm not sure why that's happening? What is the frame rate of the rip. try AnimGet if your computer can handle it

Sam

the problem is in the emulator itself, not in any other software I'm using to capoture the screen xD

Riptide

can you give me a screen shot of what is happening. How blurry is it. I have the same emulator.

Sam

here pal:

you can rip without this blur? can I pm you? I just want a few anims, and I don't care if I've to clean it by myself

Riptide

I want to say resize the window. shrink it but that might not help.

This reminds me a little of the problems I have had recently, which are discussed in this thread;

http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=125105.msg1273563#msg1273563

All I can say at the moment, is in both the emulator and the game, you must have all softening, smoothing, and anti-aliasing off. Also have the emulator game window running in the games original resolution, it might be 640x448. You probably know all this though anyway. When I have used PCSX on KOF'94 Re-Bout, they have come out blurrey, but not half as blurrey as your screenshot there. The screenshot makes it look like the softening mode ingame, is on.

Sam

I already disabled the anti alias. it comes out less blurred, but still unuseful .-.

Cyanide

There are a variety of plugins for the emu. You need to download and select one that doesn't anti alias anything. Dunno which one it is though.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

Sam

do you know where can I find them? because I only found 2 gps

All I know of is this one;

If you figure it out, perhaps post how you did it on here, with maybe the plugin you used. Because perhaps it would work with what I'm trying with KOF'94 Re-Bout. It is frustrating me, having to try so many different plugins, plugin settings, and emu versions, there are so many veriants.

Sam

of course man. If I manage to get this up I'll post here, because I know I'm not the only one with this doubt xD

Sam

I think I've solved the problem, but I'll not show to anyone how I did it

Just kidding, I'm not that fag xD
I did'nt have time to test it yet, I'll test tomorrow, but if you run the emulator with the regular gs plugin with 640x480 60gh and full screen and take a shot, it will be in the right size. Just have to test that it doesn't have blur, and then use some softaware like hyper snap to capture \o/

Was there supposed to be an image in that space? Nothing is loading for me. BTW I found something interesting (at least, for me and my setup). Like I said, I had been having simular problems, but I just found that, if I take a screenshot with PCSX's own shots option, it comes out fine. It makes things harder, but when I was using Windows own one, and even AnimGet, they were coming out slightly blurred. Though, this may be all different for KOF'94 Re-Bout, which I am working on.

Well, pal, I have a good plugin for your request.
I took a snap for you:

As you see, there is no blur, no antialias (Talking about the characters, of course)
It's oversized (not by me, the plugin took the snap just like I post it here), but that can be configurated.
The plugin is ULTIMATE SSE3 0.1.9 and it's pretty recommendable for riping KOF 2D characters.
If you are interested I could upload the plugin for you. Just send me a PM.
Good luck!

I tottaly want this plugin man!

Wait, are we talking about PCSX or PCSX2?

For PCSX2 I recommend the TextMod method. Pretty complex and harassing but give excellent results.
