I've got an exploid that I'm trying to use with a healing factor. the problem is the explod keeps getting called.
it is supposed to be only called once. I've tried different combinations of triggers but I've. only had it play correctly once when it was on all the time.

Maybe it's how I'm I'm trying to use the trigger that's cause me some problems.
var(5) is a countdown. State 2020  is the state that triggers the healing. Everything else is working fine with this set up but that.

[State -2, glow]
type = Explod
triggerall =(prevstateno=2020||stateno=2020)
trigger1=var(5)!=0
time = life < lifemax
anim =946
ID =292
pos = 0,-10
postype = p1  ;p2,front,back,left,right
facing = 1
vfacing = 1
bindtime = 999999
removetime =999
scale = .4,.3
sprpriority = 0
ontop = 0
shadow = 0,0,0
ownpal = 1
removeongethit = 0
ignorehitpause =1
persistent =0

Lord Mike

I have a suggestion.
Assign a new var that is 0 when you haven't used the explod, and 1 after that explod has been used.

The explod is actually being called once every tick or something that slowing down the game. I should have explained that it's not looping. it's calling the explod constantly or something like that I've been able to fix problems like this before but not this one.

triggerall=!numexplod(292)

Riptide

Thanks. but why did that work, does that keep the explod from triggering more than once.
triggerall=!numexplod(292)
usually when it's on this side of the = sign mugen throws a hissy fit. I never tough to try anything like that.

Exactly Yes

Thought I explained this to you before

You CAN put ""!"" before equal signs and before triggers themselves

!numexplod(292) has the EXACT SAME meaning as numexplod(292)=0

!time  =  time=0

!ishelper  =  ishelper=0

etcetera

And, for the opposite effect

numexplod(292) has the EXACT SAME meaning as numexplod(292)!=0

time  =  time!=0

ishelper  =  ishelper!=0

etcetera

I see my mistake. I just keep thinking trigger1=time=!0 and trigger1=pos Y=<-6 causes errors.

Yea I remember now, I translated these for you so they'd be easy to remember

""!="" literally translates to ""not equal to"" [ ""!"" is ""not"" and, ""="" is obviously ""equal to"" ]

""<="" literally translates to ""less than or equal to"" [ ""<"" is ""less than"" and, ""="" is obviously ""equal to"" ]

""!numexplod(292)"" literally translates to ""not numexplod(292)"" [ If it does not exist, spawn ]

Actually saying these sentences to yourself in your head or out loud could help you remember, saying them in my head helped me when I was new

You wouldn't say ""equal to not zero"" or ""equal to or less than"" in any math class would you ?

If by any chance you have a teacher that does, see to it that they're fired
