Other suggestions, a "contact" field with steam  live and psn where you can put your account names.


Are there any mods that would allow for a small icon showing the first image in the first post of the thread only in releases? A preview if you would.

Wouldn't it be better to indicate people who never saw that option before how to set it so it shows?

jabber is a decentralized, free and open source instant messaging protocol.

it has a simple api, there are many clients available (all multi-client support it), and there are several well-known servers for it. For example, every gmail address is also a valid jabber address (and the gmail web interface includes a client). getting a jabber.org address requires only a username and password, not more (not even an email address )

it's basically the same as icq and msn, but unbound of any company by design.

That I'm fine with, as long as there's a limiter for how much can be in one post at once. I remember at least a year or two ago at latest you could shove 100+ embedded videos in one post at MI and literally cause peoples' browsers to lock up or outright crash if they went into that thread.

its in the private staff area, it was about moving pots updates to reu stuff ( they were all in mediafire links) to be on his page.

It would be helpful to get a glimpse out of what the releases are about.

Youtube videos could be site wide, if anyone abuses them its like when someone abuses images.

if fetching the first image in a thread is too complicated i figure a "preview image" field would be easier to implement

just checked, in the msg is actually quite feasible. no problem.

did you think more along the lines of a mouseover tooltip, or little character icons to the left? former would be able to show in bigger size but is kinda useless (might as well click the thread then), latter stretches the page a bit (vertically) and the chars are small but it would help identify threads faster. could do a little of both as well..

In member search (the moderation type one) if you filter it down, i often go for recent registrations, 0 posts) it gives 3 or so pages of results, but as soon as i go to page 2, it loses my filter and gives me the whole forum list which is a little frustrating when i'm deleting bot accounts.

That's what I thought too.

Certain site uses it and it's really practical.
