GOH

So yesterday I was playing KOF2000 for the first time (yes for the first time) and after fighting Zero I wondered what kind of strategies people would use against certain bosses from fighting games.

So in this thread we will discuss your strategies for defeating the hardest bosses from fighting games. Any fighting game btw.

"Bad News" Hoffmann

Goro in MK 1

Jump and kick like there is no tomorrow

Shao Kahn in MK9
Liu Kang, spam his bycicle kick, it works all the time for me

In the KOF games i had no real patience with the Bosses ..losed one time..used the option to fight the boss again with him only having 1/3 of his health. That was a great "strategy" to finish just all the KOF Bosses

Segatron

Have you checked KOF 2001 That was very hard and with the exception of strikers that was unique
Esaka rules Beat that.... Or Just Get outta my way

Moloch in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance

Special Moves are often useless, the only way to finish him easily are spaming combos

Onaga in MK Deception
As with Moloch, spaming combos is the best way to get him down, also try to destroy the kamidogus, for a limited time Onaga will be a lot more vulnerable as usual

Markpachi

Nancy M1847J from Tekken 6
Keep spamming supers while dodging it's attack until it's stunned. Once stunned, combo the crap out of it.

One question, does any game count?

Rest in peace, Tamez. Thank you for everything.

You could basically do that for other MK bosses too. Slightly less for the MK2 bosses maybe, though.
There was a sig here. Its gone now (thanks photobucket ya fecks)

Dreams In Stardust

Shao Kahn - MK9

I always get close enough to where I can jump over him, so when he tries to use his attacks with the ever-so-generous super armor, I can just smack him from behind.

Duos.act

Any character with a slide attack (Vanessa, Kula, K9999, etc.) >>>>> Igniz.

Markpachi

Dark Gundam (Colony Form) from Gundam VS Gundam: Next+

Using Mobile suits that rely heavily on Melee attacks
- Every end of Melee combo, boost away from DG.
- Don't be afraid to charge head on.
- When health is low, always be cautious when to boost away.

Using Mobile Suits that rely on projectiles
- Always use all of your projectiles
- Never use a charging projectile, it'll be a waste of time.
- When your ammo stock is charging, don't waste time. Use Melee attacks while projectiles refill.

God/Ult. Rugal from CvS2
Use Jump attacks. If God Rugal blocks, grab immediately. If God Rugal warps behind you, do a jump attack while going away from him.

Shin Akuma from CvS2
If S. Akuma uses a Zankuu Hadouken and hits (even if blocking) sidestep backwards immediately then use a lower attack when he lands.

Rest in peace, Tamez. Thank you for everything.

Get out. KOF story's is good (And also, miles better than Tekken's)

Mechy

Well i might as well share this here.

I was playing kof 94 on wiiware (my friend had got it to me for free and i was bored) and i was playing team USA. Played trough with some teeth grinding since all wii controllers blow goats for fighting games, and i got to big bad Rugal. He kicked the shit out of my in his first form, had to continue 3 times. On the fourth time things were not starting out too hot either, both Lucky and Heavy d got killed before i could even get my "fighting spirit" on. D just barely managed to to take down rugal first form and died in about 1.6 seconds on the second one.

And there i was. Fighting rugal's second (at full health) with Brian Battler and a controller that i could not even pull off half the specials with.

I perfected him.

With BRIAN.

Shit was biblical.

Oh the strategy? Use Brian.

D: NOOOOOO TEKKEN IS BETTERERERER

Well, I guess I can't really complain. Tekken does have its moments. But I didn't actually pay attention, was trying to finish it quickly. :P

Duos.act

KOF's story WAS better than Tekken's, but then it became a time travel headache.  .___.

Mechy

Kof atleast kept it kinda in the background so you did not really have to consider yourself with it at all.

Also, come one. Was my little moment of glory so unremarkable? D:

MDD

Story Mode Shao Kahn

Teleport then do Raiden's AGFAKHJSFKJDHSKFJDHSKJHFDKJSHFAAAAAAAAAAAAAA attack

SNK Bosses

Lose the first time, choose 1/3 health, Ryo

Tekken Bosses

lol tekken bosses

The only thing that affects the story's presentation is the terrible localization, but additional material and spin-off games (KoF Kyo, Drama CD's) give the story even more depth (That also applies to Samurai Shodown and Last Blade. Even though Samurai Shodown bothers me because the Drama CD's change Haohmaru's voice at the mid of the series, then again Bin Shimada as Haohmaru wasn't doing it for me)

And then Jin became a douche and Lars appeared (I don't hate Lars though, but I know most people do)
