Hi I'm trying to learn how to do backgrounds, and I really like this type of background that Iori does, but I'm a noob at coding, so I was wondering, how can I make an effect cool as this? And how does the animation work?

The bg picture thing? It's just an explod and the BG has been disabled with a bgpalfx to make it black. Nothing special at all.

Can't even understand it, I'm a beginner, if there was a sample, I would know how to do it.

~sigh~ Ill try to dumb this down

time.. Thats how long a pallate effect last for.. Measured in milloseconds if i remember correctely

Add= thats short for additional. Basically transparency
Mul= thats short for multiply. How fast the pallete fx repeat over a duration of time if i remember correctly.

Sinadd= Im assuming that Cosine Additional. adds further alteration to the pal fx hard to explain lol

invertall= pretty self exclamitory

color= Also obvious..if set to 0 whatever the pallete fx are being applied to will be greyscale


BGPALFX just applies there fx to the stage rather than just the characters or a helper.

That's the docs. Try it. Doesn't matter if it doesn't work. Your first recourse should always be to break it first, not give up before you start.

Give it a go and see what happens. Then ask. You must know what code looks like at this point as you're coding a super.
