Samurai Showdown II, in the local laundromat. Come to think of it, that's also where I developed a fondness for metal slug and arcade games in general. Having weekly access to a Neo Geo does that, I suppose.

Well...if you really must know...

Street Fighter 2 through Super and Mortal Kombats 1 through Ultimate. SNES. Fatal Fury 2 also, rented it a bunch. Favorite character was KRAUSER. The Alpha games when I was in my teens, playing 1 on my friends PSX, rented the SNES Alpha 2(IT'S NOT AS BAD AS YOU'VE BEEN TOLD IT IS), and I've owned at least 4 copies of SFA3.

I remember having an Art of Fighting 2 in the arcade of our local bowling Alley but never got into it. What I remember most about it is the circular select screen.

It's fun to remember things I forgot about!

Back in the nineties, i was kinda obsessed with collecting fighting games. I imported this game and even liked it, while it was weird, the music and some of the characters and these long combos were really cool. I think it was also the first fighting game ever with the different languages of the characters depending on their background..to hear a fighting game character saying "Naaa? Tuts weh? Tuts weh?" which means "aaand? does it hurt? does it hurt? " was quite awesome.
