I have been thinking for a long time to make characters but I want to implement digitized actors ala Mortal Kombat. What are some good examples of digitized characters or a good tutorial in capturing digitized actors.

There was a project where a person was using a folding table to lay on for air moves. It was like a Jax type of character I think.
He was using the classic green screen in the background and was using a camera on a tripod to capture all of the moves. Then he'd import the images and edit them. Seemed like a TON of work.
I wish I could find the link. All my bookmarks are on my laptop which decided to kill itself the other night.
