My issue with Yu-Gi-Oh is actually building a decent deck.  Sometimes I would have just a few "throwaway" cards in there for Tributing (in order to summon Dark Magician Girl or some other high level monster.).  Maybe I should more basic.  Because trying to have more power ends up losing the game for me.

I think I've got a few cards from the GX era that require some cards I don't have.  In fact, I only have two pieces of Exodia.  But I think a good amounts of the cards you saw in the anime are either banned or limited (Swords of Revealing Light, for example). 
Aside from that series, TCGs have never held my interest.

they ended up censoring those to purple smurfs, but the black smurf story was so popular that recently it was reused on the second smurfs movie( they inverted theirs colours there) .
