Why do I get the feeling that Necrostorm is an Italian and video game version of Amy's Baking Company...

(Of course, to get the joke, you would need to see that episode of Kitchen Nightmares)

Jango

I didn't see it. Was it a really big deal on TV?

Umezono

that's one of the most famous episodes. Amy's Baking Company (ABC) was a popular joint known for its owner, Amy, whos pretty much a psychotic basket case who is convinced that everyone who dislikes her food is part of a social media conspiracy to try and demean her. Her husband is like a eastern european guy (I believe) who was here illegally with huge anger issues. Ramsay tried to give them attitude adjustments and told them that while their desserts were top notch their lunch and dinner was fucking gross. 20 minutes of screaming and meltdowns (speaking in terms of the episode) later Gordon threw his hands up and ragequit, the first time he had done so on the show. After tha ABC blew up on social media, becoming infamous for the rants posted on their fb pages by the owners, similar to Necrostorm. They had to hire a PR firm to fix the social media damage.

MellyInChains

to add to the list of eerie similarities didn't they also try something along the lines of attempting lawsuits for defamation

Iced

Later on the PR company quit and they started trying to insist that they were putting on an act and tried to sell themselves to reality shows.

Bar Rescue had their equivalent too, but I STILL can't say it's on the same level as Amy's Baking Company...

Dear god, Necrostorm is a top contender!

You also failed to mentioned that the desserts were bought from a store and the husband pocketed the tips that's meant for the waiters (a HUGE no-no, mind you).

Xhominid: I know which episode you're talking about (O'Face Bar). What happened on that episode was far worst then anything that ABC ever did. Trust me when I say this: I highly doubt that the head honcho of Necrostorm is going to slap one of the customers and then bribe a security guard to throw the customers through a window.

Wait... knowing Necrostorm, they might do that.  :ninja:

Bastard Mami

they won't because they can't but they are doing the internet equivalent.

Iroha stripped for me

Karasai

i cant deny it though, i kinda liked the music they made

Keku

there's no denying the music in the game is pretty sweet

I meant it more for PR reasonings, I'm not saying O-Face isn't bad in the really messed up department because it DOES surpass ABC in that department.

But ABC does do some pretty fucked up things too(forcing you to sign a 3 year contract that bans you from taking a job at any resturants within a 2 mile radius or some crap) so it's honestly not a landslide type thing.

Somehow, the similarities between Amy's Baking Company and Necrostorm are pretty eerie (doesn't help with the taxing part as well.. I think).

Anyway, while I was reading more on Death Cargo in TYM (The discussion thread in SRK is closed, for some reason), I noticed one last post, regarding MikeMetroid closing the thread (due to STORMS; not Necrostorm.. whatever that is).

But before he closed the thread, he posted one more screencap in there. So idk if this is raising any other red flags regarding the "result" coming up on Monday or anything.

DNZRX768

You know, if all of these legal threats thrown around, it would be funny if Necrostorm does receive a legal-equivalent to "challenge accepted" to one of their threats and will have to back up their threat.

I am willing to bet that this company does not have the financial resources to even hire a lawyer for the case. If someone actually stood up to the threat, it will be doomsday for the company. Lawyers and lawsuits are expensive...

In fact, does these threats carry any legal weight, or are they paper tigers?

Darkflare

They have nothing. Even the so called italian law they were making a fuss about has no weight to it. If the game did exist anyone could have posted screenies and videos without any legal trouble other than Necrostorm removing videos on YT.

Looks like we are going to have to wait till Monday to see what exactly is going to happen. If they do release some sort of trailer for the game, then they might be able to redeem themselves, but  if they don't release the video, then their reputation as a company is going to be in jeopardy.

Right now I have my popcorn right next to me and I will watch and see what happens

oh yeah I found this by the way

I did not do this. There was a user in the name of Akumasan that posted this in the brawl chat

Jango

Is it just me or is there almost no consistency between the screenshots that were "officially" posted and this one? I mean, even the scaling is different.
