Good 2D Fighting games for PS2

I'm looking for some good 2D fighters for the PS2, besides CVS2, also, which is the best Guilty Gear?

Accent Core Plus is the final version of XX IIRC

Get SFA Anthology, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, and any/all KOF games.

If you can play Japanese games you simply HAVE to get Vampire Collection. It's my favorite game of all time and forever ever!

Also if you can play imports you'll want Last Blade and Garou Mark of the Wolf

You could try Rumble Fish (too bad Arcsys never bothered to port its sequel) and Spectral VS Generation (this one had great potential but sadly no more sequels).

Also Melty Blood Actress Again. But if you want 4 player madness you can try its prequel Melty Blood Act Cadenza.

Another good multiplayer fighting game is Battle Stadium D.O.N.

KOF 2002 UM

Only Issue is that It's Japan only, but it's a fighting game and all the menus are in English. (for some reason)

Accent Core + is the one that has everyone present so probably that. Reload is just as good but it doesn't have ABA and Order-Sol.

Others I'd recommend.
Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution: Great game. Simple, well-designed, and fun; more people should play this.
Tekken Tag 1: Tekken dream match, 'nuff said. Has bowling too.
SamSho Anthology: Has localized Tenka to go with earlier games. Must have for any fan of SamSho.
KoF XI: Quite s departure from the Neo-Geo titles but really interesting game. So many fun characters to play with.
KoF MI2/2006: Enjoyable game to mess around with.
SoulCalibur 2: Fast, intense, and enjoyable. Considered to be SC's prime.
Bloody Roar 3: Fun game. Sorely underrated one too.

doubling on trf, the ps2 version is like a 1.5 version as it has some stuff that the arcade version did not get, also the game feels pretty fresh , it's probably related to it being a 4 button kofish game unlike the other "doujin" games liek guilty gear, melty blood, etc.. which are 3 button + system.

It had good collision detection but it feels like I'm hitting something soft when I punch or kick an opponent. Maybe because it's a pretentious 2d fighting game something that GGXrd fixed. Overall its still a good playable fighting game. My other complaint would be the boss having SNK Boss Syndrome.

yep, complete with a stupid way to defeat him ; jump over him so he fucks up and attacks the side you are not on, especially effective once he charges up because his attacks last longer.

tekken 5? I think 5 was on ps2 I enjoyed that one.
