As I know on original cvs2 game, air guard should be only on C groove.
But on Warusaki's cvs characters have air guard on all grooves.

So maybe can help me how to disable it? I will really appreciate it.
Thank you...

Jesuszilla

Put this in -2. This will disable air guard for all but C and EX grooves in Warusaki3's characters:

[State -2, NoAirGuard]
type = AssertSpecial
trigger1 = Var(20) != 0 && Var(20) != 6
flag = NoAirGuard

May I know where file should I put this code on? On cmd or cns file?

Like Jesuszilla said, put it in -2.

You can read some more info about -2 in MUGEN class
http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/mugen-101-things-you-need-know-169758.0.html

In the CNS file there are two special statedefs, Statedef -2, and Statedef -3.
Statedef -1 IS/is in the CMD file.
Mugen constantly monitors these Statedefs without the character having to be in them.
States that are always executed (use statedef -2)
States that are executed when in self's state file (use statedef -3)
Electbyte's example,
[Statedef -3]
;This controller plays a sound everytime KFM lands from a jump, or
;from his back-dash.
[State -3, Landing Sound]
type = PlaySnd
triggerall = Time = 1
trigger1 = stateno = 52 ;Jump land
trigger2 = stateno = 106 ;Run-back land
value = 40, 0

Would work best in Statedef -3 because if P2 throws you and uses stateno 106 the sound would play. Obviously this is something the other creator wouldnt want to happen.

DO NOT FORGET YOUR [Statedef -2] and [Statedef -3]
Be sure these are located before all -2 and -3 state coding.

I am still confuse about it. Do you mean on Mugen root folder?

I found statedef -2 on cns file so I put the code there. It is looked like working.
Thank you so much, guys...

I have tested it again and it is not fully working. Cpu is still able to do air guard. :(
It is only working on human player side.

So how to fix that, guys?

yudhiyou

So how is it, guys? Cpu is still cheating able to do air guard. :(

Jesuszilla

No. Just once in -2 is fine.

Though you may have to modify the changestates Warusaki put in somewhere for triggering air guard.

yudhiyou

So can you give me suggestion how to search that changestate? Some keyword for searching maybe.
Because I have searched all cmd and cns files but still couldn't find what triggering it.

Niitris

Which of warusakis characters are you using?

I tried a couple and they worked fine.

Yes. The code works fine if played by human.
But if the char is played by ai cpu then it still able to do air guard.

Try to play againts cvsryu or cvshibiki for example if you want to see.

Niitris

No I meant it worked on CPU too.

Which characters did you try?

yudhiyou

Try with menu watch. Select cvsryu, cvsgouki, or cvshibiki to fight each other.
Yes I know it is difficult to trigger it because random ai. But try for 10 match at least.

Niitris

Found it. The CMD had a ChangeState for the AI to enter the guard state while in the air.

[state -1, Guard]
type = ChangeState
value = 120
triggerall = var(59) = 1
triggerall = roundstate = 2
triggerall = InGuardDist
triggerall = (stateno != [4000,4029]) && (stateno != [4100,4129])
triggerall = ctrl
triggerall = statetype = A
triggerall = !var(16)
trigger1 = enemynear,numproj
trigger2 = enemynear,HitDefAttr = SCA, NA,SA,HA
trigger2 = random <= ifelse(var(20)=2||var(20)=6,80,600)

Adding this line should solve that.

triggerall = var(20) != [1,5]

Wow... Thank you so much. I will try it.
You are great man...

But I had tried to add code: triggerall = (var(20) = 0 || var(20) = 6)
on that before and not working.
Are you sure your code is not same with mine?
