Guys come on... its easy. Just change your active day hours, windows won't force an update on you on those times.



or you could stop the windows update service, or change your connection to metered. There is an abundance of ways to deal with it guys.

Also, what ancient windows 10 version do you have in your system? I've never had windows 10 force me to update at any of my computers. All of its prompts allow you to skip the update or let it update on your next logout.

Problem with stopping/disabling the Windows Update service on 10—at least from my prior experience with it—is that it automatically turns itself back on at some point. I think there's a workaround so it doesn't re-enable itself, though finding workarounds to resolve things I didn't like basically summarises my time with the OS

corporate rig, don't/not-supposed-to have the ability to change those update settings (and if i did it would probably reset on a daily basis)
so ultimately the blame falls on the company's tech dept, but still
it's the unannounced aspect that really burned my beans
at least give me 60 seconds to prepare and start running damage control
