Wut bothered me is that geese became good and uh i was a bit question for this type of character like idk wuts up with that?
Less he's a good guy now and more them trying to make his situation with Rock more sympathetic. Granted SNK have kinda hinted at going that direction with stuff like their KOF XV intro showing that he didn't forget about his wife. Doesn't make the execution in this game less awkward.

It's the difference between character development and character derailment.  If it was written well, we'd have seen bread crumbs over the years implying there's more to Geese than just being a power hungry tyrant.  There'd be little implications that circumstances warped a good man into adopting a "might makes right" mentality.  But no, instead we just get a Russo swerve at the eleventh hour, like a soap opera gunning for ratings with a cheap plot twist.  And it's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ways this game has shit the bed for longtime Garou fans.

So, he has stances, can juggle his force football.
Some of the animations remind me of Ganbare, Kickers! or Captain Tsubasa.

2-Lane battles, but only in that one stage...

My consensus with Andy is that he looks great, I like the new design (he looks way better with short hair than long hair imho) and his special moves look awesome. I like the new demon flip, the EX teleport, and all the Shadow Andy references.

But his Hidden Gear sucks -- though, that applies to almost all of them in this game, unfortunately.
what do i put here ew

First of the two street fighter guests. From the looks of it there's also a new winter stage, but I could be wrong and maybe the stage was already in the game, idk.

Love that his Feint Hadoken even starts with Ken gathering ki.
I know, it's part of the FF:COTW system to have feint moves... still, I think this is the very first time Ken has a feint Hadoken...

Spoiler (click to show)

I know in Alpha 2 & 3 Ken had a "fake" Zenpou Tenshin Roll (called Zento), but not a feint Hadoken

Miru962

That's not even going into Ken having a post credits scene which hints at further crossover content, such as a possible Juri guest for a future season, if not some kind of full crossover game.

Terry is saying he'll tell the Fatal Fury cast to visit Metro City, so this sounds more like a hint at a full SvC / CvS crossover than more SF guests in future seasons (or the other way around, more FF guests in SF, considering Terry's SF appearance in Metro City happens after this). But it kinda sounds like wishful thinking or just straight overhyping your own farts, the kind you don't want to believe until it's actually announced, it's just too in your face to be true. "The story writes itself!" yeah right.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

I'd imagine that a full crossover would have a broader scope with things like Wesker vs Mr. Big, Strider Hiryu vs K', Rathalos vs King of Dinosaurs, Sissel vs Robert Garcia, Fairy Leviathan vs Kula Diamond, etc.

So not even KoF originals or FF/RS picks being mentioned is a bit odd but it seems like they're moreso teasing things than hinting something actually serious to keep in mind for the game itself.

Maybe a SvC, but certainly not a CvS.
CvS was always meant to be more "grounded", so characters like Wesker, Strider Hiryu and god forbid Rathalos have nothing lost there.

The thing is, we're not getting a Marvel game so Capcom would feel obligated to toss in characters like Apollo Justice, Magmnalo, Bass.EXE, Lady Dimitrescu, etc. anyway. Though they probably do respect the wishes of CvS fans so they'll be in the minority.

Even in 1 & 2 we had characters from platformers (Athena) and planet busters (Morrigan) but they were at least in the minority and had no story relevance.  The more fancifcul characters, logically; would have no involvement in the cinematic story mode and be optional postgame content in a World Tour.

Yep, Glasses = Character growth, kinda.  Really bummed there will never be another Nobuyuki Hiyama-esque voice for him or for his dub.

Well, if it had lost to TWO compilations, one update of a 2006 game, and a game that is still in early access, i'd be pissed off.

I would too. I want Virtual Fighter 5 R.E.V,O to win, but as you said, it is just an update.

Yep, definitely an accomplishment. Although it does have some issues, like adding celebrities to the game, SNK deserves that award! I hope it leads to other awards in the future.

I didn't find the celebrities to be a issue. I like that surprise sauce. The ability to play as Cristiano Ronaldo just for the lulz is a up for me :P

Ok, which one you sent your Mugen roster to SNK to get them to create this?
