Now that's certainly a surprise for sure, but it still feels bittersweet, especially knowing that this game will never receive Katarina, Ashe, Evelynn and many other iconic characters.

What went wrong?

Everything:

• Working 10 years on a game that barely has 10-15 characters
• Barely showing advances or a playable beta in all that time
• Few roster for a franchise like LOL is, even a MUGEN/IKEMEN can give you the double of chars than this official title in less time than that
• Aggressive monetization to get the chars and skins
• LOL players don't play fighting games, barely know them
• Making it a Team VS game, a niche genre even in FG (which is already a small niche)
• Riot being Riot
