The continue problem comes from the exe file itself, so you would only have to copy your new downloaded winmugen.exe to your old mugen folder and see if it works better or not.

I have copied the exe from other MUGEN I have (without that problem) and that doesn't work either

Azasuke Kaijin

What does the mugenw document located in the main directory of MUGEN say?

If it's not in the Exe file itself. You might have to go into the data folder and replace the gameover.sff file. There could be something wrong with it.

I already tried replacing the gameover.def and it was of no use

Animugen

Well why not ask mugenlord?

Blue_Falcon

This is what the MUGENW.doc says:

----------------------------
Using original loader on chars/dong/dong.def
Unloading system background data...sprite data...OK
Reloading system sprite data...Reloading system background data...OK
Unloading system background data...sprite data...OK
Exit with an error.

If this Dong thing is a character, then make sure in the select.def, where the character section, it isn't like "Dong/dong.def" It should just be "Dong"

If it's a stage, it should be fine. Just...not supposed to be in the chars folder =/
