CvS 2 questions

Hi guys

I have some questions to you who play CvS 2 a lot and know a deal about that game.
Well - here are the questions. I'll put them in order so I can make a good overview.
And - you reply.

1.) Evil Ryu - is he a good character compared to others and the bosses?
What are his cons/pros? Can his Evil Energy fireball (the unblockable 3-level one) be charged?
If not - how do I use it properly, if it now is useful?

2.) Ultimate Rugal - Any ideas how I can play with him in a good way? I only play vs CPU since
I don't have Xbox live. Do you concider him being a super-good character?

3.) Any suggestions on how I deal with the bosses? Or play good vs CPU overall?

evil ryu is lower tier compared to shin akuma and god rugal but that doesnt mean hes not powerfull, i like to think of him as regular ryu only more combo friendly.as for his lv3 metsu hadoken, yes its chargable, all u do is hold down the hard kick/hard punch(depending on what evil ryu ur using) button when activated untill its fully charged then evil ryu will be weakend after the attack.

i dont play with god rugal so i cant help maybe someone whos a gd fighter with him could give u some tips.

against boss chars such as shin akuma and god rugal u need to block, warp and parry to avoid most of there attacks and unleash ur own super combos when u get the chance.

huh? e. ryu can't charge his LV3 SSM, that's P.o.t.S. ryu 

with G. rugal it's all about slow reppuken + something else, like kaiser wave or the HCB+K move, or genocide cutter while the enemy jumps over the reppuken.

against CPU controlled bosses, it's all about being carreful, grab a lot, spam projectiles at great distance, and not being in the air too much which means something like "shoryukken/ cut me!"

You're better off choosing regular ryu or ken rather than evil ryu.

It sucks to play as the bosses in cvs2, period. They're downright terrible at taking damage compared to everyone else. I know it's supposed to be for balance, but the abilities they heve do NOT justify such a handicap.

damn right if they gave shin akuma ryus health in the game u would have a near unstopable beast..... damn i hate u capcom i had to suffer all those defeats to a fan boy ryu fan

Dude - I agree completely. They haven't balanced ANYTHING.
I was so hugely disappointed about that one - in fact - so much
that I sent them an email about it. They told me something really
silly. Kind of hiding their misstakes. Grrrrrrr.

I had the same reaction, haha wtf.

Start charging it while P2 is falling, like Shoryuken -> land -> Metsu Hadouken. That way it'll hit them as they get up, which means all they can do to evade it is using an invulnerable move just as they get up, which a) isn't that easy to pull off and b) leaves them open afterward.

Rugal/God Rugal has two brain dead easy combos that can deal a lot of damage: God Press or Dark Smash (or whatever the aerial move was called) -> Genocide Heaven, both in the corner.
With God Rugal, well... you can combo into his ultimate move, which Shin Gouki can't, and is also a great move to use while getting up.

Come on, Shin Gouki has like the cheapest move in Capcom history (except the MvC series), added to the already insane movelist Gouki has (well, most of it). Not to mention he's faster and has Geese-isms (reversals).
Not sure how to justify God Rugal though, I mean he was already so easy to hit because of his size...

The CPU versions have full health, Shin Gouki has the same health as normal Gouki, and I suppose (i.e. haven't checked) God Rugal has the same as Rugal.

Yes - he has. He has more stamina than Shin Akuma has.
However, if you play with Shin Akuma well - the comp
won't be even to catch you. I almost win every round perfect
with him. Except against bosses. It's lame that you die with two hits.
From THAT point of view - the bosses suck insanely when you play as them.

However, for Shin Akuma, just spam fireball as much as you can,
when they block, sweep them and follow up with combos. Or
Shungoku Satsu.

If you have level 3, you can lure them to jump at you, then you
release the Misogi. Now THAT move is just hillarious. It's even stronger
than the upgraded Shungoku Satsu. It's also pretty
cheap, since you will have like 30% health left if he hits you.

Another thing you could do if they jump-attack you is that
you do Shin Akuma's counter (Down, Down, +2P). It doesn't
do too much damage, but heck, it damages more than a dragon punch.

Still - I am more intressted with game play with Evil Ryu, Orochi Iori and
God Rugal.

Normally I use either guile or sagat to beat the game, everytime I got to fight with either shin-gouki or god-rugal and they are over-powered like hell. They give the most damage to player control's lifebar where player attack them, it cause a small amount of damage to their lifebar. Now I was trying to think of how to get to fight with normal-gouki or normal-rugal to unlock groove edit and osaka tower stage but still, I get the fight with either shin-gouki or god-rugal anyway I should guess that for the god-rugal or shin-gouki bosses, it looks simillar to neogeo battle coliseum where in fighting cpu version of Mizuchi, NeoDio and Shishioh, they are over powered but when using them, they plays like regular characters. When using playable god-rugal or shin-gouki, they are weak, three strong attack damage to them which reduce 40% of life bar for each hit normally I picked shin-gouki and keep abusing his misogi which most opponent won't block it and have the most damage
