1ST W.I.P. "Satsui No Hadou" Rugal

I've been submerged for quite a while.  Too many projects so little time to post on so many forums.  Just want to give an update on my current situation.  As for the hand-drawn Gouken, well he's takin a back seat for a while.  So many (Gouken's) are floating around now. I've been workin on my 1st Mugen creation. Here the proof of concept for all to enjoy! It's some rough sprites and with any great creation it proves to be alot of work but, you get the basic idea where I am going with this! Here is a sneak peek of my W.I.P...





Story:
At the end of Capcom Vs. SNK Rugal defeated Akuma in battle to absorb his dark hadou power to become God Rugal. Rugal undergoes a transformation and his visage clearly resembles Akuma's, hinting that Akuma's spirit was able to overtake his body, due to his weakened condition creating a true "God of Fighting." Of course, i'll make it sound much cooler but, that's pretty much the just of it.  True to "Millionaire Fighting" but, making him an actual W.I.P.

I told you it's a rough sprite, just concept. Look at the character pictures.  It will be more kin to those once I touch up the sprites. This is just basically the idea where I am going with this.  Be patient, you'll see some cooler stuff very soon...

@darkmanx_429: great wip man. i just hope that, even tough using SF3 Gouki's head and arms, you make true to the CVS sprite style.

BTW, his name is "The Nameless one" and he is not exactly Rugal.

Erm why are you using sf3 head and arms? They don't suite the CVS god rugal sprites, head looks too big and arms look weird

You would be better off using gouki's CVS sprites. Also the clothes are ment to be more tattered, i guess that isn't really too important but if your looking for perfectionism then go for it

I kinda had an idea of making this character but you beat me to it! lol

i hope this works out  would love the character, it seems like a really good opportunity to make a holy/god/orochi etc character that is an actual character (even if the character isn't canon) just don't go super super cheap with him!

Dude - seriously - skip the belt/rope. SERIOUSLY.
Also - make sure he doesn't get all too muscular,
as the body won't fit the suite. The head looks too big
too. INTRESSTING idea though. THIS would be nice to see.

I think it would be better using cvs gouki sprites, with sf3 sprites there's something odd....his arms for example, seem too long....you don't wanna do a "satsui no hado gorilla rugal", don't you?  Besides, I'm curious to see his final appearance...as stated before by others, you need to remove the rope belt, and the upper part of the hair too (if you see the image posted of his face he has not that part, only straight white hair) and...hum...good luck with the moves! It will surely be a gouki/rugal hybrid, but I hope for something new too.

No offence, lol, but to avoid further bashing concerning the quality of the sprites, at least post ONE of the promised quality sprites. I love the idea, but until there're some better sprites presented, you're only going to continue getting the same comments.

ahh thanks for the better pic you have anymore i am also helping out on this project 


and when i do some more sprites im going to try both cvs sprites and the one above to see what looks better

interessting indeed, jsut one question why did u use sf3 sprites instead of cvs for goukis parts?? my guess is he looked weird since rugal is such a tall guy on cvs and gouki is shorter but is there anotehr reason? also id color goukis skin differently maybe lighter to match rugals skin a little more, rugal was always a light or pale skin fella
