My First Screen pack

Here is an idea i am toying around with. It will be my High-Res select screen for mugen. hopefully it will come out the way i want. alot of moving things to make the cells align. What do you think. The quality is not up to par in the picture because of the compression.

It looks nice. I like the color theme, and if you can come up with something which doesn't have a massive color loss, it may look awesome.
From what I can see, it's a high-res screenpack, am I right ? Then, how will you manage these huge big portraits during the fight screen, which is still low-res ?
Also, will the select screen be animated ?

Nevertheless, the problem with this type of design is that the characters don't use any of their original portraits anymore, hence people will have to customize the portraits of each character to make it look correct.

So I guess that if you want this to work, you'd have to provide a template so that people can create their small portraits easily, and you should provide as much small and big portraits as you can to save work from people (you know, humans are lazy ).
Also, make a very explicative readme so that people can add the portraits in their characters without asking 100 questions each time.

all he has shown is a flat image that is no where near anything we can actually give feedback on.  this topic is like asking if hyrdrogen cars are a good idea until some are mass produced no one will know.

but yes i suppose in order to not "spam" I shall say that those portraits are damn sexy and I would love to see more...nice car +1 I mean nice idea +1

thanks for the feedback. What i would do is when i finish this is release a portrait pack with many of the popular characters so all you have to do is change the one sprite. This is going to be one hell of a process so it may take some time.

Looks very nice. the only thing that bothers me is the circle portraits. I think you should leave the portraits as square so ppl won't have to find portrait packs and such for it. unless the circles are compatible with the square ones already.

Maybe it's because the small character portraits in the screenpack are the EXACT same as the face of the character in the big character portrait. Also, you could have revised that sentence A LOT
