Depict anything that will never happen to a character, such as Honda losing weight or Ryu and Chun-Li getting married.

PIC to SPRITE
Draw a sprite based on an existing picture of a character. Extra points if you drew the pic in the first place.

Effects, BGs, Sparks...
Do a spark flashy enough to compete with the BBB sparks or similar games...a bg for a specific super move; or an effect like a propulsion/turning invisible/teleporting[...] type of animation for a char or other effects like a fireball or a gust of wind...

Civilians.
We all know how weird bare scenarios are, so create people to populate your favorite scenarios, be it tourists, shadaloo technicians, priests or burglars, animated are worth more.

Big Portraits
Make a big portrait for whatever character. Of course, you must sprite it and not take an existing art. Something like like this, with a 140*120 format, or a little bigger (As Choujin's or some of POTS' portraits), as long as they fit correctly in a screenpack.

Cyberbots
Mech versions of existing characters (not necessarily fighters though.)

Effects, BGs, Sparks... EASIER SAID THAN DONE I know.

I've been flirting a lot with the idea of making new fire effects (because of another Iori)
I've analyzed thorughly all kinds of KOF effects. That tutorial on how to make them by Dark Dez's friend is a good tool. Also, particle ilusion. I'm thinking Fong, BDI, Renzo, Reu. If they could do it, more people can too.

I voted for pics to sprite because I suggested them, but civilians and big portraits are very good and useful...at least pic to sprite somehow overlaps with them.
