Hyper Portrait/Fx Coloring Tutorial
The following tutorial can only be used if you either have made a hyper portrait and want to color it in., followed P.o.t.S high res conversion fx tutorial, or just want to change the colors of some fx's. Also, i was using photoshop as in example, im not sure if this tutorial can work with gimp or psp.

Step 1. Open the sprite, make sure its Index pcx. Then go to image>mode>color table to view your sprites current pallet:

Step 2. You wanna change the first color of your pallet, just click on the first color and select what color you want from the color table on the left, in my example i used red:

Step 3. When done choosing your first color, click and hold it, then highlight the rest of the color slots in the sprites pallet as so:

Step 4. Now, let go of the left click and the color table will pop up, make it the first color of your pallet(in my example it would be red). When your done it will pop up again, this color will be the one your first color will fade into. Its preferable that you use real dark colors or black, for best transparency in mugen. When done, your pallet should look something like this:

This is just an example, you can adjust the pallet all you want by making the first color lighter or darker and making the color apply to 64 slots, so that you can add it to a characters pallet etc...With this your done, just press ok on the color table, and save the sprite as pcx. Read steps 5 is for combining colors in a pallet.
How my sprite came out in the end(using red, and fading it into black)

Step 5. Follow steps 1-3, but instead of highlighting all the color slots in the pallet, just highlight half of it or as much as you want, and make the first color the first one in your pallet, and the second color any other color you choose to make it fad into thats not black, hers an example of mine, i used red and black:

As you can see, the red fades into the blue nicely.
then follow the rest of step 4.
In the end your pallet should look something like this:

save the sprite as pcx.

Heres how my sprite came out in the end:

thank you all for reading my tutorial, this really is an amazing method.. especially for me.. it used to take me hours just to make a fine pallet like that.. and i was excited that i found a way easier method that i wanted to share it with all.
